I Purchased this house 2022 from Lennar builder a new construction. The AC unit stopped putting out cold air a couple of months ago on and off. Last week the cold air stopped coming out.I still have a factory warranty. So I got in contact with Romanoff in ********* area office. They sent a couple of people to fix it, but they couldn't.They said nothing is wrong with it, but no cold air is coming out to cool the house. The humidity in this house is around 70 degree all the time with AC unit non stop running all day long. They blocked my phone call all together. I can even communicate with them. The guy who came by today from Romanoff said, something is wrong with me and the windows in this house. I am an Asian widow 67 years old living by myself. I told him to get out of my house.I just received a call from Lennar builder. He said he got in contact with Romanoff. They will send someone here on 17th this month. Lennar builder will send someone to meet the guy from Romanoff that day. I don't know what is going to happen, but please get in contact with Romanoff to send someone who would have a knowledge to fix the unit. I have been looked down on by many people in the past because I am Asian. I believe the some thing is happening in this case also.

    Good Morning

Complaint filed on the home is based on the homeowners request for the unit to maintain **************************************************************** New Homes be designed based on 92 Degree outdoor Temperature to maintain 75 degrees indoors. The last several weeks the temperatures have been well above the state mandated outdoor temperature resulting in temperatures reach 78 degrees or better in the home. The system is performing as designed by ******. We did return to the home again today and replaced a TXV valve on the unit to ensure that there is not an intermittent issue with this part. As for the humidity in the home, we checked it today, the reading on our gauges over the reading on the thermostat was 20% off. Thermostat was reading 80% RH and it was actually 60% RH. We then calibrated the Thermostat and relocated it to make sure that it was not picking up humidity from other sources of water in the home. Temperature in the home today was maintaining Temperature before part was replaced. All work was provided at no cost to the Homeowner. Advised her if Humidity in the home continued to remain high to contact ****** Homes for further investigation of the home.

    Regards,

    Good Morning

Homeowner was mailed via register letter a resolution to the issue with gas piping in the Home. No response at this time. Matter has also been discussed with ************** Heating and Cooling Board and option presented to the Homeowner was approved by the Board. This Home did pass all Local and State Inspections per State Code. Romanoff is willing to perform work on the home as deemed necessary by the State.

I am rejecting this response because:
My home and many others did not meet gas code. ***** only gives this response because your company was guilty of leaving many homes non gas code compliant. I have picture proof of many homes that are occupied without meeting gas code. I received a letter offering to repair and bring to code the gas piping they didn't adhere to code with. Unpainted and rusted gas pipe was what homeowners received. Your response beyond the letter is a total lie. Homes wefre in no way, shape or form up to gas code and I have the Mooresvillke Fire Chief and 2 *********** Fire Marshalls who were present when *********************************, ******* Inspector, came and said painting is required, but he didn't care. A complaint with the sheriff has been filed because gas code compliance paperwork was falsified and that paperwork led to the illegal issues of ***** Hopefully the sheriff charges you, ****** and *********. ****** was informed of this issue upon my moving in and they refused to address it, now I hope you all get the karma you deserve

Romanoff was the company that installed my HV** in my Charlotte ********* After 1.5 years, I noticed the ** was not functioning at the level it was originally, so I called in a local HV** company to take a look. The company noticed that the connection between the ***** pipe and the unit in the attic was not properly soldered, creating a slow leak which led to 4.5 pounds of ***** to escape the system over the course of the 1.5 years. Instead of waiting for the builder, I went ahead and replaced the 4.5 pounds of ***** because my house was not cooling and I had been losing sleep for several days due to the temperature and needed it fixed immediately.Instead of having the local HV** company fix the pipe, I called Lennar, who then called Romanoff. Romanoff owned up to the fix, and said that it was poor workmanship on their part, and that this never should have happened. I told the Romanoff employee, that I would like the cost of the 4.5 pounds of ***** refunded, as this is cost that is covered by the 2 year warranty, which is what I am seeking now. This is a covered cost in the warranty, and would at least like a reimbursement for the 4.5 pound (at cost is fine) for the ***** that leaked, due to their poor work that was done last year.Thank you.
