In 2018 ***************************** came to our house and sold ** solar panels saying that with all the rebates, etc. we could get 10 grid-connected panels on our home for the total out-of-pocket price of $4501.00. Half down, the rest due upon completion. We wrote a check for $2250.00 and then the games began. First, we had to take out a loan from LightStream for $12000 that was never mentioned at the original sale OR on the original paperwork, for which he promised we would get back 100% from the rebates and they would cover any interest we paid. Stupidly, we agreed. then it started. Constant delays and excuses. The weather was too hot, too cold, too windy, too whatever, to do the installation. Finally, someone showed up and all they did was glue rails to our metal roof. Then we had to wait two weeks for the glue to "dry". After that, nearly a dozen "appointments" came and went, either canceled or ignored, without any progress. One favorite excuse was their truck broke down for a month as if this multi-state million-dollar company with over ****** satisfied customers could only afford one truck. What, they couldn't rent a $ 50-a-day truck?Then, after they got their truck "repaired" their installer had a big job 200 miles away and it would take him weeks to complete. Again, this multi-million dollar company only had one installer?Finally, after nearly nine months AFTER the installation deadline to qualify for rebates and finding out they hadn't even ordered the panels yet, I told them to forget it and refund my money. They said the contract allowed them to "keep" 25% of not what I had paid the, but 25% of the ***** "PRICE" before rebates or every single ***** I paid them.Their CEO, ************************* (or ***** *******************, depending on his mood) lied to us and kept blaming ME for the problems and said I was micro-managing the job when all I did was call after every canceled or missed appointment to see when they would be there. These people need to go to jail. Total scam.
