On 11/16/2022 I started working with **** from Linx Legal. She assured me we would be able to get my time share under control and canceled if not I would get my money back. I was also provided in the email on 11/16/22 that she would respond to my emails in 48 hours or less. I have yet to have my time share canceled coming on 2.5 years with the service and when asked I have been told it takes time. I sent an email almost three days ago now and no answer, I also sent an email on 2/21/25 and no answer. Last communication was on 2/10/25 and this is by me reaching out. I am only provided updates when I reach out and the response isn't really an update on the case.Business Response

In April of 2023 me and my significant other at the time enlisted the help of Linx Legal to assist with cancelling our Wyndham Timeshare. The ********* company had tricked and manipulated us, so Linx Legal assured they could help after hearing our story. *** ****** explained the process and said it would take about 18 months for our case to be resolved, our contract cancelled with the ********* company and possibly get our money back from the ********* company for a fee to Linx Legal. There has been no progress on our case and it will be 2 years next month. I get emails from Linx Legal every few months stating they filed a complaint with (insert list of companies) yet no progress with getting our contract cancelled with *****************. When I asked about progress for receiving a cancelled contract or a full refund, I received generic answers like there's no timeline of when we said we would give you a refund or have your contract cancelled. Mind you, Guy said 18 months. We spent about $8000 with no progress in about 2 years and being told it's because Wyndham is dragging their feet on responding. I received snarky emails from Linx Legal after asking for a full refund or what steps are left before they have exhausted all efforts in order to get a refund. I can't get a straight answer out of Linx Legal. I prefer the timeshare contract to be cancelled but I will settle for a full refund with Linx Legal's 100% money back guarantee. At this point, I have lost faith in Linx Legal to keep their word saying our Wyndham Timeshare contract will be cancelled in about 18 months.Business Response

My husband and I began paying Linx Legal 4 years ago to get us out of a Time Share agreement. The Time Share has already negatively affected our credit and we continue to get notifications from the company about non-payment. We have in the 4 years not seen any steps taken to remove the Time Share from our credit and have gone months without any updates even after specific requests only to get short responses with absolutely no information. We've paid thousands of dollars for nothing, I would like to see either a partial refund or a completion of the work that was promised.Business Response

February 1, 2023 I contacted Linx Legal for help regarding my Westgate Contract Agreement. The legal company assured me they would be able to cancel the contract. The total amount I owed to ******** was over $18,000 which I was lied to in buying in the first place, Linx Legal assured they can help me out with the hardship and difficulties I had been facing with the timeshare. I agreed to **** helping me signed contact everything was good. Months later received tons of phone calls from the timeshare after I stop making payments as told from my advised to do so. I explained repeatedly how I didn't wanna take a credit impact ******* advised me to freeze my credit and they won't be able to report and bad impact. This was false because as of 4/30/24 I am still receiving bad reporting and calls. Linx legal put me in place with a 3rd party credit repair where I was told it was free, well the service still wasn't rendered and the company still ask for money to satisfy the work that was being done. I have reached out numerous of times can't reach anyone but the payment are still trying to be collected through my account for service. After 2 month I reached out to my advisor that advised me his work was done but he did help me that day with questions. I had been advised to ignore the collection calls from *************** will do that but the account is closed. At this point I want to know where we stand with this account and my money that has been paid already towards cancellation because I haven't seen any changes toward this timeshare contract or closure resolved.Business Response

We were told by Lynx Legal that they could get us out of our timeshare.. we paid them ******.. our credit took so much of a hit we had to file bankruptcy. We brought this to their attention asking for our money back because it was not resolved. Our trustee ending up going after Lynx Legal to get the ****** back and won in court.. we personally did not see the money it paid off creditors.. I just didnt want them keeping our money when it was promised it would be resolved..Business Response

We hired Linx legal services approximately 3 1/2 years ago, they promised to cancel our timeshare for a fee of $28,000. That fee was paid well over a year ago, no cancellation of timeshare has occurred. We have tried again and again to contact the company, they will not return phone calls, return emails, or communicate with us in any way. We were told that our credit scores would not be impacted by their processes, yet our credit scores have been impacted very negatively over the course of the last couple of years. They had a three-year promise of canceling the timeshare or refunding 100% of our fees. We have requested refunds and again had no communication from the company at all. As the *** of Linx Legal, Inc. (*************************************), I would like to personally thank Mr. ***** ********************* for this review, and I sincerely apologize to them. We at Linx Legal are accustomed to so many positive reviews, but the true character of our company is always revealed in the way we respond and react to the not-so-positive reviews like we received in this case.
Upon personally investigating their complaint, I found that we fell short and that certain staff members did not handle this account appropriately. In our 14 years of business excellence, it was clear to me that the handling of this matter was entirely unacceptable. It flies in the face of our company motto, Only the best is good enough. To that end, personnel adjustments have been made - two positions were terminated, while one other received a written reprimand. Now, I have personally taken on the Chisholms case, and I will see it through until it reaches the conclusion we are all looking for.
When I spoke to the Chisholms, I found them to be incredibly nice people and very understanding. They truly just want what was promised to them - to be rid of their timeshare debt and burden. We will continue to do everything in our power to make this happen.
Finally, I am so thankful for understanding and compassionate clients like the Chisholms, recognizing we have finally come out of a long, overdrawn COVID pandemic. We look forward to continuing our successes on behalf of all our clients, while upholding our reputation as being the leader in the industry and being fortunate enough to help good folks like the Chisholms.

I am rejecting this response because:
We appreciate the fact that *****, the owner of Lynx Legal has reached out to us numerous times since the filing of this complaint. He has guaranteed us that he and his team will work towards getting our timeshare fully released from Wyndham, or refund us in full for the monies that we have spent with his agency. While the matter has not been resolved as of yet, we are cautiously optimistic that things will be resolved within a matter of months."

I have attached all supporting documents. When we hired Linx Legal to assist us with getting ** out of a timeshare we had just bought. They specifically told us we had to freeze our credit and that would prevent Holiday Inn Timeshare from reporting negative information if we didn't pay the monthly ****. They told us to stop paying our **** with them. I have attached an email from ********, who worked for them telling ** to stop paying the timeshare monthly payment. On page 8 of the contract, it specifically states they will never tell ** to breach a contract with our timeshare provider. I told them over and over again I am a Mortgage Loan Originator. I can't stop paying that **** because my license comes up for renewal in November, and if I have a charge off or a late payment it will cause a lot of issues for my renewal. We have come to a positive resolution with the customer. We have issued her a full refund, AND we will continue with our services free of charge. We agree that certain areas were not taken care of in the typical Linx Legal fashion, and we are taking appropriate steps to make sure that this does not happen in the future.
