I bought a blazer from Versona (store of Cato Corp) on 11/8/23 and I paid for shipping because the item was below the free shipping amount. I wasnt happy with my purchase when it arrived, so I pursued returning it. I called Versonas customer service on 11/22/23 at ******* and spoke to a representative as a result of wanting clarity about wording on the return label which stated the shipping cost would be deducted from the total return amount. My question was will the shipping cost be deducted from the cost of the item or the cost of the total amount I paid. The customer service representative told me the shipping cost would be deducted from the total of what I paid and that I wouldnt have to pay twice for shipping. I told her I wanted to confirm because if that wasnt the case, I wasnt going to send my product back to the company. When I returned the item, my refund was short. In actuality, they did change me twice and they deducted the cost of shipping from the item itself. I called corporate on 12/6/23 and spoke to ******. She said she is part of Cato Corporations in **************. I am writing this because she was very rude and nasty to me. After explaining to her what the customer service representative told me, she told me her customer representative couldnt have told me that and implied that I was lying. She insisted that I was not told the information over the phone even after I told her the exact ************* and I called and the reason for my call. I will never buy from this company again. The customer service representatives gives inaccurate information and the corporate office has no intentions on satisfying their customers and has proven to go as far as insulting the customer. I asked her was their anything she could do, and she stated no.I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and bullheadedness exhibited by this corporate leader. It is apparent that providing excellent service is not a priority for this company.
