I purchased a used 2014 **** Focus SE with ****** miles on December 29 2022 and was financed through a company for the $9,595 for this vehicle. I drove it two weeks and check engine light started to come on. Went in for diagnostics around January 24 2023. They said a purge valve. With the warranty I purchased I paid $100 for this work order. That did not fix the issue. As I drove about a week after the car started acting weird. It would sputter while driving, fighting to change gears. Driving in a parking lot I was in drive the car stalled as the RPMs started rising by themselves it to 6 while foot off the acceleration. I then called Performance and told them. I was informed to come back to do another diagnostic test. I drove there on February 16 2023 where they informed me my transmission had went out and I was unable to drive this vehicle. They put me in a rental from Enterprise and drove that vehicle nearly 3 months and now I am in a loaner from the dealership itself. The part needing is a Transmission Control Module which is unable to be gotten any time soon. The dealership informed me after my car had issues they have another client that their car has been waiting on the same part near 8 months. I've tried to get them to trade me out, also reaching out to **** customer service to do a buy back. I do not want this vehicle I was informed it's was reliable transportation for me and my family. I now trust that it is not for it only lasting 40 days after the purchase. I believe I was lied to. I get ignored a lot from the dealership so I did start reaching out to the **** customer service which calls me weekly to inform me about the part that is not available under ****'s warranty. Also them knowing this was an ongoing situation due to them having another client having the same issues and still sold me the car telling me that it's reliable.
