I recently purchased a vehicle with *********. However, the financing fell through and I returned the vehicle when was asked. The contract I signed states that if the financing falls through I have to pay for the days I had it $20/day or $.30 per mile whichever amount is greater. I had it for 26 days so it would be $520. I put a $1500 down payment and they are refusing to give me back the remaining amount. They said it's due to floor plan fees, they have to clean the vehicle etc to upload for resale. However, those fees are not stated on the purchase agreement I signed. It only says the daily fee and any damages to vehicle. There weren't any damages to the vehicle so 980 should be refunded to me. I returned the vehicle on March 26 and they are ignoring my messages.Initial Complaint

If you live out of town DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! I purchased my car on 9/25 it is December 5th and I still dont have a tag. I keep getting ignored when I try to ask about it and they will not text back or if they do you will get the run around. I was told on November 19th that I would be receiving a tag in 10 business days from the company that they go through I called again yesterday to get a update and was told that my paperwork was declined due to a mess up on Alta auto groups end they didnt have the decency to even inform me on the matter. Ive also had to ask two times for a new temp tag because mine expired and nothing I got ignored again Ive been going through so much with this company its honestly ridiculous.Initial Complaint

I purchased a **** **** F150 from Alta for ***** not including taxes and title on July 21st 2023. When speaking with the sales agent over the phone the assured me that the truck was in great condition. After reading the carfax report that showed mileage and history of repairs I decided to move forward. The sales agent was able to send me videos of of the truck and before I sent him ***** over the phone to hold it for me unil I could drive down to ********* from ******* **. When arriving we test drove truck and it was fine. Once again the sales agent did assure us that their mechanics took a look at everthing and the truck was good. No "*************" lights ever came on. On Ocotober 6th, ***************************************************************************************************************************************** that the engine had blown a gasget and the engine needed to be replaced. I had the truck a whole 13 weeks! I wish I would have researced this company on BBB and read all of the reviews before I ever purchased from them! Oh and last but not least, I still have not even recieved the tags for the truck!Initial Complaint

Purchase 2011 *** 335is on 9/5/2023 at ********* in ******* **. When ****************** ****** informed my carsales person ***** that I am unable to purchase the vehicle unless I add and include Gap coverage to my loan through ************** Services, added cost of $1000.00. And when the loan company called me the nextday to verify my information, the dealer listed wrong Social # and also mentioned that Gap coverage is not a requirement to secure the loan. I had already signed the contract terms the day before adding the Gap and in order to get my refund in the amount of $1000, the loan company stated it is responsibility of dealer to refund the money. I have sent faxes and emails to dealer and have not received any response confirming refund to date.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2007 Audi RS4 from Alta Auto group in **************. Simply put, what I paid for is not what I got. I had a back and forth with their sales rep for a week or two asking questions about common problems with these vehicles and was told everything was good to go. There were things I knew I would need to address after getting the vehicle (tires had gouges in sidewall and were low on tread, right front mirror glass was shattered) but there were many issues I was unaware of after taking delivery of this vehicle. There is no way the dealership was not aware of these issues but they sold me the vehicle anyways. Very shady. Its no coincidence the vehicle was for sale on their website for over 200 days. There is not enough room in this box to list everything so I will need to be contacted. The main issues were... The check engine light came on within 10 miles of driving the vehicle. Cost me around 5k to fix this. I could tell after working on the vehicle they had been chasing the issue for a while based on shoddy under hood work and misc. aftermarket parts installed. They painted the wheels (very cheaply) and the paint was coming off at delivery. I having to have them repainted for $500. The front brake rotors were completely shot. Cost me 1k. The turn signal was not working properly and had to be replaced. To sum it up, now I have a loan for ****** and over ****** in credit card debt to repair this vehicle so that it would pass ************* inspection and just be generally road worth and safe for my family. I live in ******* so it was not feasible for me to fly/drive down just to check out a vehicle I may or may not purchase. I took this dealerships word for the condition the vehicle was in. At their recommendation, I even went as far as having an outside company ****** Squad do a pre-purchase inspection. I have already filed a dispute against them with my credit card as their inspection was totally incompetent. Seems like they may be working togetherCustomer Answer

What warranty are you looking for? My complaint here is the dealership charged me a premium price ($30,000) for a 16 year old vehicle that was supposed to be in inspectable and safe operating condition and it was not. I asked the sales rep specific questions about specific things that were known issues with these cars and was lied to. Things were hidden and or not disclosed to me that would have stopped me from purchasing the vehicle had I had all of this information. I purchased the vehicle out of state and was told by the dealership everything was good to go. I received the vehicke with a check engine light and a misfiring engine that required new plugs (they had auto-lite plugs in it. huge huge no-no), injectors, intake carbon cleaning, and a crank sensor. bad front brakes. rear seat cover falling off. wheel paint peeling on all four wheels. glove box hinge broken. center console lid broken. none of which was disclosed to me before purchase. I have spent thousands of dollars on fixing these items I am looking for some money back from this dealership to help cover these costs.Initial Complaint

I purchased a used 2016 Maserati from Alta Auto Group and asked for it to go to an independent mechanic for a check up, They told me they don't allow that since they've had mechanics 'switch parts' and explained that their service department checks all their cars out for problems. I trusted Alta Group because they have a 4.6 rating, but for further due diligence, I did have Lemon Squad do a report, but that is limited to exterior and working order - not an up on lift inspection. Since Alta Group assured me they had done the in-coming inspection, the Lemon Squad inspection was all I thought I needed. It came through with a note that the tires needed replacement. I then paid ********* to replace the tires. I also paid for a second electronic key, then had the car shipped to my home in **********. When the car arrived March 22, the battery was dead, the transport man jumped it and I drove it to my mechanic who could not take it then and told me to drive it for at least a half hour to charge the battery. I drove it for 45 minutes, but battery was dead the next day and couldn't jump it, The electronic key that I paid $539 for does not work and the title for the car was not sent so I could not get it registered. Without registration or title, I did not drive the car and kept calling Alta Auto Group for the title which they kept saying they had sent. After 5 calls for the title, it was finally received May 15 and I got it to my mechanic on May 22 for routine service. HOWEVER, he discovered that the front suspension and all brakes needed immediate replacement to the tune of $11, 478.50. That's 30% of the price I paid for the car! Alta Auto Group has a service center and I trusted that they said they do a check on cars and sell good quality. I got a second estimate from *************************** and it came in even higher at $13,486.I immediately called Alta Auto Group and spoke with manager, ************************* and asked for an adjustment in price since I cannot drive the car back. He said he can't do anything - sold as is. Well if I had know the "as is" I would not have bought the car only to spend $12,000 to get it safe enough to drive! These are not cosmetic cures, brakes and suspension are obvious safety issues that NEED to be in safe operational function. Given the amount of due diligence I did and tried to do, but trusted in their 'service inspection' this appears to be default hidden and not acknowledged since my mechanic discovered these immediately upon looking at it on the lift. Please help me to get the price adjusted to cover some of the work that needs to be done. Thank you! I can't upload the estimates here, but can email them separately. I want ********* to refund some of the car price towards this work since I can't return the car or sell it even. It needs to be fixed to be even street safe.Business Response

Good Afternoon
We declined her complain because **************** was aware she was buying a used vehicle with the clause "As Is" which also was an out of state purchase which she sent an exterior company to do a check up on the vehicle. The vehicle passed the legal inspection in the *********** and we as dealers that sell USED vehicles are in no obligation to replace maintenance parts like breaks if they are in compliance with the standards and safety requirements of our state. The battery issue it could have been a situation where the transporter could have easily left a light on specially in a long trip like that one. Maseraties are vehicles that their maintenance is expensive and so are their repairs but that is up to the customer to do their research and figure out if they will be able to cover for those repairs since they are purchasing a used vehicle. We cannot be held responsible for anything that comes up once the vehicle has left our premises, especially after the vehicle has been inspected and the proper documentation has been signed and received. Also, the dealership has nothing to do with how long it takes to a DMV of a different state to process and deliver a title and registration, that is why we send our vehicles with a 30-day temporary plate.

Just bought a used 18 F150 from Alta auto group in ******* **, and took it to **************************************** of ******* and they found a laundry list of issues. Two CEL codes came on the first day I received the vehicle, one for a bad catalytic converter and the other for crankshaft sensor. The starter is bad and has evidence of being banged on. Had to get jumped off twice. The apim needs to be replaced, the **** and Bluetooth doesnt work properly. The *** clutch in the transmission needs to be replaced. This was all within days of owning the vehicle. *********************** technician stated these problems had to be know. Also has three marker light covers missing. Huge dent on the tail gate that wasnt advertised. But Alta auto is denying responsibility.
