On 12/29/2024, I made a cash deposit in the amount of $265 at the Banco Cooperara Latino *** located at ********************************************. And the *** invalidated my pin after I made the deposit and at that same moment the *** was disabled, not giving me a receipt or having the deposit in my account. I went to the bank on 12/02/2024 to make the claim and the bank tells me that they cannot do anything with my case because the *** reports that day did not show the surplus money, which was my money, and I have called several times to have my case resolved and my money returned and they do nothing, I feel scammed and robbed by this bank.

      Good afternoon,
In regards to Complaint # ******** we are happy to report that it should be considered as resolved. Upon reviewing the member transactions  activity it was decided to provide a full refund of the $265 to her shares account on 1/15/2025. The refund was completed on that date. The same day our Regional VP for the Triangle Area spoke to Lissetteh ****** and confirmed the refund. The same staff member has called member several times since 3/7/2025 to clarify any concerns, yet no one has answered them.
Please let us know if further information is needed.

August ******- July****** I made 100% clear to teller that these payment were towards the principle amount.I went in again today to make another 2,000$ payment towards principle and was told that I still owe way more than I should. the money I previously deposited towards my principle amount was being used towards regular truck payment. there for (Latino community credit Union ***************************************** Raleigh) did not do as I said with my own money. they are still charging for all the interest on my truck. I tried to speak to someone about this matter and was told they had no time for me. This is something that should not be going on, they are practically stealing my money and I will like to have that fixed. if further action is required I will proceed thank you.

      Good afternoon,

In regards to Complaint # ******** we are happy to report that should be considered as resolved. Our Consumer Lending ** spoke with the member late yesterday afternoon.  His loan was completed online on 5/4/2022.  He went into the Carrboro branch on July 2, 2024, to inquire about his balance.  The teller provided the information, and he thought his balance was higher than it should have been.  He then realized after speaking with the teller that while he thought the loan was set up for 48 months, it was set up for 72 months.  He then asked the teller to transfer $3000 from his savings to his loan as a principal only payment.  Unfortunately, SECUs system did not allow principal only payments for consumer loans.  The member did another $2000 payment on 8/2/2024.  The ** called the branch yesterday to see if the teller communicated this information to him, but she was unable to confirm this.

Then, our ** contacted Mr. ******** and took the time to explain our system conversion to him and that going forward we will have the ability to process principal only payments.  We think his main frustration was the lack of communication and possibly some misunderstanding with the original loan set up.  The member was satisfied with the **s response and is no longer upset about the situation.  LCCU will be refunding the interest portion of the two payments to the borrower due to the miscommunication.

As a side note, Mr. ******** paid the loan in full on 11/5/20024. Please find attached the letter mailed to member today.

Please let us know if further information is needed.

      Regards,
