Nov. 22, 2024 we had a binding estimate of 2434 cu ft with Eagle Movers Group (Broker) who contracted Apartment Movers to move us from ********* to ********. Apartment Movers arrived with 2-26' unmarked trucks. The foremen on his walk through estimated 3525 cu ft which exceeded the binding estimate amount. No measurements, items listing was provided to confirm the difference in the cu ft. and no additional items were added to 2434 cu ft. After much disagreement, we tried to cancel the move but told we would lose $9,335 in deposits paid to Eagle. Apartment Movers said that if we did not agree to their stipulations they would leave without loading. We had no alternative but to move forward.They loaded everything on 1- 26' truck that only has cargo capacity of approx. 2000 cu ft with 3525 cu ft. We feel 3525 cu ft was overstated and we were overcharged $1961.75. They also did not give us credit for a deposit of $3,190 previous pd in the binding estimate. They also did not comply with binding estimate parameters. Bill of Lading carbon copies were not legible or complete. Requested many times for a copy of original Bill of Lading which should be kept on file by law one year with no response. Have sent a complaint to Apartment Movers by certified mail proof of delivery with no response. We paid Apartment Movers $11,573.50 and Eagle Movers $9,335 for Total $20,908.50 to move. We are requesting a refund in the amount of $5,151.75 which is for $3l90 deposit not credited and $l,961.75 refund for overstatement of cu ft.The problem is more complex than we can explain within the character allotment. I contracted with ****************** (national company based in *******) to move my 3 bed/2bath house in ******* into storage and then redelivery to my new location in ************** once I had purchased a home. Eagle subcontracted the job to Apartment Movers Plus (see license details in attached letter). My items were located in two separate storage units (one climate-controlled, one not). Apartment Movers Plus only picked up the items from the climate controlled unit which constituted less than 20% of the items on the inventory. I had reviewed and confirmed this inventory with an Eagle representative a week prior to the pick-up date. The fact that more than 80% of the items on the inventory were missing should have been cause for at least a phone call to me (I was working a job in ******* at the time). My friend was also listed on the contract as an authorized agent, who was on-site and managed the move for me and who informed the movers of the 2nd location. Apartment Movers Plus also damaged and/or lost a pieces of the few items they did deliver (see photos in attached complaint). I am still missing 80% of my inventory and they also have refused to compensate me for the damaged and missing items.Initial Complaint

On 10-6-2023 I ********************************** went into a moving contract with ****************** who stated that they were a direct moving company not, a broker "***************************." The fee would be $6897.51 with a down payment of ******* which was paid and broken into three more payments till fulfillment. I followed up with **************** in concern regarding the size of the truck. He stated that we would not go according to the items listed on the contract but, to fill the truck to the brim being that it should compensate a three-bedroom home. On the day of the move, Apartment Movers Plus arrived with a mid-sized truck and three movers. I knew this would not do and I contacted ************ who stated That they could send out another truck for another $4000.00. After going back and forth with Eagle we agreed that the moving company would take all the heavy Items first; beds dressers, wall units, refrigerator, etc., before placing any boxes in the truck. From 11:am that morning to 8:pm that evening my husband and I continued to tell the movers to take the large items not the boxes, to no avail. Most of our large items were left, and we had to do the move ourselves with a rental of another truck. Storage was placed in ****** **, not ****************. yet, we were told that the trip was straight thru. Moreover, most of my items were missing and what we did receive was damaged. I filed a claim in January of 2024. With the exception of documents from the ** court system regarding two items listed in the claim, there has been no remedy to this matter. We were lied to by Eagle, they are brokers! the moving company was unprofessional; losing and damaging my items. Including, the movers fighting with each other infront of my new home. As well as filing a claim that was never taken into consideration at all. So much more went on during this move but there is not enough space to write it all. I entered into an agreement with *********************** ***********************************************************************************. They are a broker that secured Apartment Movers Plus, ***************************************************************. I have been on the phone with both companies several times regarding the delivery of all of personal belongings to my new residence. Originally it was January 25, then it was February 1, then it was on or before February 8. Today I called and was told that the trucks are still in storage and there is no delivery date. not all my belongings were delivered and I was told I had to sign a receipt or I would not get the rest of my belongings and pay up front, when I spoke with the manager or owner he said he would get back to me and he never did I called him back and he told me he needed time to look in the warehouse because it was raining to hard to look that day, I contact his insurer who seemed very simpatihic and told me she would investigate then days later a e mail was sent to me to down lod the forms and right after before I even received the form I received a e mail from the insurance *** that all I would get is about 21 dollars because the receipt said they were only responsible at .65 cents a pound and the most valuable item a large screen tv dosent weight that muchBusiness Response

I hired moving company to move me out of home. New home wasnt ready. Apartment Movers took furniture to storage. Property was mishandled and not returned in the condition it left me. My sofa was brand new, only had a few weeks, it came back filthy. I had it professionally cleaned, company stated they would pay me for cleaning. Have not received payment. My 5 burner CharBroil grill came back to me in pieces (pieces missing till) tried to have it repaired, it no longer works, had to trash it! Hi, I hired a company named Pricing *** Lines to move my furniture from ******* ** ***** to ****** ** *****. They scheduled pick up on Saturday 11/18/23 around 2:30pm with a company they subcontract with named Apartment Movers Plus, ******** I had to give a down payment of $680.40 with a credit card as down payment to Pricing *** Lines upon hiring them. I was told to have $576.00 for Apartment Movers Plus, **** movers in a money order or cash when they arrived to pick up my furniture and stuff in ******* ** and to have $576.00 when they dropped my furniture off to me in ****** **. I chose money orders. I was told it could take between 10 to 14 business days before I could get my furniture delivered to me. Today is 12/18/23 and I still do not have my furniture.I called their customer care number and even the ******************** peoples number on my pick up slip. And all they keep saying is they will call me when they are on the way. The last call I made was on 12/15/23 to Pricing *** Lines and they said they cant find anyone who is able to drive this far. But that Apartment Movers Plus is a big company. Well I dont care about all that I just want my furniture. Why did they accept my money and take me on if they cant even deliver my things. I have a 2 piece sectional, 2 rocker recliners, a round swivel chair (big), an ottoman, a 10 by 12 area carpet, 48flat screen TV. A glass tv 3 tier tv stand, a round end table with a smoked glass top. 4 medium pillows that go with the sectional. 3 big pillows that go with the swivel chair. 4 back pillows that go along the back of the sectional. 5 medium boxes. A vacuum cleaner, an ironing board, a personal grocery cart basket. A short stepping stool. A reclining sleep number bed (queen) with a queen ********** And 2 bar stools. All my furniture in crush velvet blue. Even the bar stools. I dont know if I should call the police or not. Please can you help. At this point I feel like my furniture is stolen.Initial Complaint

Feb 24, 2023 I hired a company to move me from ** to **. March 16, 2023 Apartment Movers Plus showed up at my door. They did a quick sweep of my house and added more money to the agreed amount. I am out $11,000 total AND some irreplaceable and antique things are missing. They asked for me to fill out a form and I have done that, twice. I am out another $5500 because of their carelessness and thievery. I believe they have stolen my items and I am ******.The items that did finally show up are damaged with scratches and gouges. I want my things returned, but H*** has not frozen over yet, so I demand compensation for my stolen items and that is $5500, I was ripped off by these clowns and my receipt was one of the things that they lost. To whom it may concern. We went to *************************** house to pickup her items. All of her furniture was not able to go because of the estimate done by her moving broker . We took a full
truck load of furniture that was delivered to a storage area sectioned off with only her items. Some the items were left at her home because the truck was full. We will review the claim that she has and any amount paid will be under the basic valuation which is ( .60 per lb per article ).

On February 9th Apartment movers plus was suppose to come and move me on that day..they did call finally to let me know that there was some kind of mix up and they would not be there until the 10th. Well long story my furniture was finally delivered on the 11th and with only one person to unload but finally was able to hire someone off of *********** The first piece of furniture was part of a bedroom suit and it was damaged severely. The board to the bed was cracked and the leg broken off. I have tried since this happened to get this fixed and ****** asked me to get an estimate of repairs of which i did. The estimate is $350.00. I told ****** and sent him the estimate to him and called him several times and he finally agreed to $175.00. I had waited several weeks to see if i did get a check and nothing. I called ****** back and he said he would send me a claim form thru my email and never have received it. I even checked my span to make sure it didn't go there. To this day i still have not received anything from Apartment movers plus. I also had the insurance in case something was broken. What I want is for this bed to get fixed if it can be and Apartment movers plus is responsible for this breakage because of the way they packed it in the truck. Also I feel that they should pay the whole amount because of the issues and the lack of them not taking care of this before I had to make a complaint to BBB. To whom it may concern. This complaint is in our claims department and will handled under the basic insurance ( .60 per lbs. per article) within the proper time frame given by the FMCSA .
We definitely have this claim on priority to handle. We have heard this customers complaints; Claims are handled in the order that they are received.
