    JSJ builders built a substandard house with mounting issues on a home 5 months old. We have cracking walls, unfinished bathroom floors, cracking ceilings, unfinished painting, drywall nail pops in the 100's, miss matched painting patch work due to numerous attempts to patch bad workmanship. We have filed 23 warranty claims against the builder and now they refuse to answer texts or calls. JSJ took the joy of buying a new home and turned it into at 5 month nightmare.

We have visited the house several times and have taken care of all warrantable items to our knowledge expect for a window, which is on order and will take time due to current production times, and blockage in the smurf tube behind their tv. Again, both of these are in process. We, JSJ, have not ignored any warranty requests. The last request we received was on May the 16th for nail pops. We are open to have any discussions with the owner to go over any concerns they have. We have photos of cracked walls, ceilings, unfinished bathroom floor all put under warranty work all put in on May 16 all marked complete by JSJ but No ONE ever came out or reached out! once JSJ stopped building in our neighborhood they stopped responding. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/06/10) */ JSJ has visited this buyer several times. Several of the warranty claims have been taken care of. We are more than open to meeting with the buyer to try and satisfy any valid warranty claims. We will reach out next week, the week of June 13th, to set a meeting up. We re submitted all warranty work that had been marked as complete on June 1st after reading JSJ initial response. On June 1st we contacted JSJ warranty team about our claims and they stated " we can't help you since your case has been turned over to a VP who will contact you on Tuesday June 14th". They would only initially provide a 1st name and no contact information, as of today June 16th we have had Zero contact! 16 days after re entering warranty claims not a single person has reached out. May 9th we entered 6 warranty claims and Still haven't had anyone help us with those items. JSJ is trying to ignore our claims until the warranty runs out. I would love to submit numerous pictures of the poor quality and damage that is throughout our home due to JSJ's poor standards for work performed during the building process. JSJ has no problem blaming covid on all their negligence but have no problem cashing the checks!

    JSJ built a substandard house and they refuse to fix glaring issues through our home. We have unfinished bathroom floor, 100's of drywall screws coming out of the walls, miss matching paint due to all the bad initial work, ceiling cracking, walls coming apart at the joints, uneven floors, miss matched window, doors that you can't open due to cheap hardware. All items brought to the company's attention, the builder, who he builders boss, and the person in charge of warranty. All parties stated they would fix issues and then have since stoped answering phone calls, and text. JSJ stopped communicating once they cashed our check. It's disappointing to see all the complaints on BBB that are exactly the he same. JSJ needs to do the right thing and fix ALL their substandard work performed.

    I bought my home through JSJ builders 14MAY2021. From leading up to the sale of the home and continuous to present time, I have had multiple issues. The concern currently is a health concern where the septic system was not installed correctly and is leaking affluent waist into my yard. My dog got sick several times, and my young kids cannot go outside and play. I have reached out to the builders to notify them of the concern and was instructed to call their plumber in turn who instructed me to call Johnston County Environmental Health Services. JoCo Environmental Health Services came out and determined that the septic tank was in fact malfunctioning and was not properly installed. This was communicated to JSJ's representative Tyler S**** and their hired plumber by Todd Ramsey from the JoCo Environmental Health Services on April 29th, 2022. I just received a call this morning from Devon from JSJ company stating that they will not pay to correct the septic tank malfunction. Second complaint, prior to purchasing the home, I had paid JSJ builders to install screened in porch out of pocket. During the paperwork process they attempted to fraud me by increasing my closing cost that would have drastically increased my mortgage (along with other costs) in order to drive the selling price up. Third, the plans they sent me included extending the drain pass my property in order to properly drain the run off water towards the closest creek however, they refuse to complete the plan and just place a "tampon" to decrease the water drainage; this is causing my land to erode. Third, not only did JSJ builders not ensure the septic tank was properly installed, the A/C unit was not properly installed from Carolina Air Conditioning Co., Inc. and drastically increased my electric bill causing me to pay over $1,000.00 extra in payment from Nov 2021-Mar 2022.Luckily Duke assisted but only by help dismissing some of the overpayment and not all.

We are currently in conversation with Johnston County Environmental and a third party septic inspection company to evaluate the situation. We did install the system per Johnston County septic design and Johnston County inspected and passed the install. The leach lines that are in question are not warrantied as we do not know hoe a consumer will treat their septic system, just the tank and any pump required. Once we have the report back on why failure occurred, we can then make a educated decision on what our stance will be in regards to any involvement in the repair. We do not know what the claimant is referring to with the closing costs increase. Any paperwork would be handled by the buyer's agent and the listing agent. Wed will review the A/C unit claim.

    We purchased a home from JSJ Builders in April of last year. We were incredibly excited to move in to our new home as a family of 5 with all the additional space. If i could go back in time i would. We have had numerous issues since moving in from from Windows that took months to fix, grading issues we have been emailing about for almost a year and now finally our septic tank erupting into our backyard. We have had septic sitting for almost 3 weeks now and after contacting the builder and having him state IN WRITING we would be reimbursed for the company we had to call out for temporary remediation as well as stating they had a plan for permanent remediation... The septic company stated additional drainage was needed and the poor grading was allowing water to flow into our overflow tank. We now received a phone call from the builder that they will no longer be covering the issues stating 'A county problem'. The septic a under warranty for 2 years and this is now a health concern for my pets and kids. We are contacting a lawyer to pursue further action and hoping this will help as well. No resolution to grading, no resolution to septic... We are left on our own. Worst experience with a new house.
