    I am filing on behalf of my 80-year-old father ********************* who has not had air conditioning for 6 weeks now. Cape Fear Heating has not only not responded to many of his phone calls for status but has basically dropped the ball on resolving this warranty issue with his AC unit. They came out last Wednesday morning to supposedly install the blower he was waiting on for 5 weeks and the Tech could not get another part off the unit to install the broken blower. That is the excuse he told my father anyway. As you know the heat indexes have been well above healthy limits and he has had to endure without resolution for 6 weeks now. The ONLY thing the company did was provide a portable unit to semi-cool his sunroom. As I said, phone calls go unanswered and we need assistance ASAP. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.     I called last week for an appt. Someone came out on Monday. Determined a leak report needed to be done but because of the time it would need to be rescheduled. I was told that because of the length of service (2 hours) he would be scheduled for a 3 hour block. Well he showed up 1.5 hours into the window (not sure how he now has enough time and won't run into an issue with the person scheduled after us). Tech never called me. I called to schedule another appt and was asking how much the service would be and when the part would be in and I was asked, "didn't the tech talk to you." No, if he did, I would not be asking. I am told to schedule my appt for Monday and it would be an all day job. When I go to call back, ******** from customer service picks up the phone and is heard on a recorded line saying, "I don't know why she keeps calling. What could she want. I don't even know. " Clicks and puts me on hold and then answers and I tell her that I could hear what she was saying about me and that it was inappropriate and I ask to speak to someone else. She transfers me to a man. I talk to him and i tell him I want to speak with her supervisor. He gives me the run around of, "I don't know if she is free." I said I will wait. I speak to her supervisor ******** who tells me that they get thousands of calls a day and deal with angry people all day and that she was caught being human. I end the call and I call another company to come out and re-check everything. They come out, do a great job, determine that there is NO LEAK! So, who is right? I feel that the tech came into a nice neighborhood and decided how can I s**** them over. Because if I paid what they quoted me for the replacement coil and not the compressor being damaged. I would have to pay them for additional services. So, don't use this company. The customer service people will treat you poorly. The techs won't do a good job. They will waste your time and money.
