This listed name is not a member of our facility. The 19 year old son is a member, he joined at 18 year old which is allowed. This account was fixed for the proper amount and refunded last week for the difference.Customer Answer

Unethical Recurring Charges for Unused Guest Add-On No Transparency or Easy Cancellation Business Name:Golds Gym Fuquay-Varina / Peak Payment Solutions Complaint Details:I signed up for a membership with Golds Gym Fuquay-Varina on July 30, 2023 and paid an initial fee of $19.99, which I believed was a standard membership trial. However, I later discovered that I was enrolled in a recurring monthly charge of $19.99 for an Unlimited Guest Add-On a feature I never used and was never clearly explained to me.The agreement was written in a way that hides the fact that this optional add-on would automatically renew indefinitely unless I canceled in writing to a third-party payment processor (Peak Payment Solutions) in ****. I never authorized or intended to sign up for long-term guest access, and it is absurd that I am being charged month after month for a service I never once used.Their cancellation process is intentionally complicated, requiring written notice and advanced timing. This is clearly designed to delay and discourage members from ending billing. Ive now been charged for nearly nine months of a service that provided me no value. This is not only unfair it is unethical and exploitative.I am requesting:Full refund of charges beyond the initial two-month term.Immediate cancellation of all services and billing.Confirmation that my card information is removed from their system. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I would not recommend anyone sign up with Golds Gym without scrutinizing every line of fine print. These practices are deceptive and take advantage of consumers who simply want to work out not get caught in a billing trap.Desired Outcome:Refund for unused guest add-on charges Termination of account Removal of payment information from their system Member Info:**** ******** Member # X04042 Barcode # ********** ************************Business Response

My daughter and I in person spoke with the personal training staff prior to the end of August 2024 about discontinuing her personal training. She submitted a request to discontinue in the app and she also mentioned it to her personal trainer. So, a total of 3 people were told about this in late August, the person at the front desk, the person they brought us to who is in charge of personal training, and the trainer. I still received charges in September but expected this due to the 30 day required notice. But now it is October and I'm still being charged and am told this cannot be stopped until later in October, which is effectively TWO months of additional charges. We just want a gym membership, no additional personal training charges. This is 2024, I refuse to believe a corporate company as large as Gold's Gym is incapable of stopped these charges.Because my credit card refused the latest charge, we now cannot use the separate gym membership WHICH we DID pay for and continue to pay for. Please remove the balance due which my credit card reversed and allow ****** ******* her gym access.Initial Complaint

Ive been a member at golds gym for a year and I never missed a payment or had any problems. When my boyfriend started going with me we started receiving weird energy from the workers there, but we didnt make a big deal out of it because we are there to workout. Few months passed and we were working out and my boyfriend left one of the workout items and forgot to place it back. The manager ( ******** ) demanded him to pick it up with disrespect so my boyfriend just walked away. The manager came back angry and asked him to leave and my boyfriend said no, I pay to workout here. The manger threaten him to call the cops on us , the cops came and kicked us out and said we are banned from that location. I understand, however, I dont see a reason why I need to pay monthly for a gym I am banned from. I feel disrespected, and humiliated front of all the people that was there.
