We paid Forecast Estate Planning $1,800 to create a will and estate planning in June 2024. We were supposed to receive a binder and software page to help us upload the documents. We never received either one. I sent the agent an email stating that we would need help when those items arrived. They never arrived. We have left numerous voice messages and emails to no avail.

We hired ***** ****** of Forecast Estate Planning fka Forecast Financial Group to create and fund a revocable living trust. We paid $1,800 for the software and her expertise and assistance with creating and funding the trust. She assisted us with creating the trust. We had the trust documents notarized and now we are trying to fund the trust. ***** ****** stated that her company would fund the trust with our real properties, vehicles, etc... We are unable to reach ***** by text, phone or email. We have left multiple email, text, and phone messages with no response. Her voicemail box is now full and won't accept any messages. We don't know if she went out of business but we haven't received any response from messages left over the past 3 weeks.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/03/2024

In response to the client complaint.

We began working with this client to assist them in getting the Revocable Living Trust documents in place in May 2024.  We had several meetings with them and their documents were generated and mailed on July 9, 2024.  Instructions to the client were to notify us once the documents had been signed and notarized.  As you will see in the email we sent to the clients, we only see one missed call from the clients.  We didn't find any voicemails, texts or emails indicating they were trying to reach us.  Could they have been missed or overlooked?  Perhaps but definitely not intentionally.  I personally spoke with the client this morning and he indicated it had taken them 4-6 weeks to get the documents signed/notarized.  They seemed amiable on the call.  I explained that my business partner has had several deaths in her family this summer which made her more inaccessible than normal.  She sent them the following email today in an attempt to get them back on the calendar to complete the Funding process.

Please let us know the next steps in the process of addressing the complaint and having it removed.  We have never had a complaint and certainly would like to prevent it from appearing on our record and preventing complaints in the future.

Email from ***** ****** to the clients:

"I trust you both are doing well.

I'm reaching out because we got an email from the BBB stating that you filed a complaint against our firm.  It didn't give us a lot of details but indicated you had been reaching out regarding the Trust Funding process.

As one of the owners of the firm as well as the person who worked with you on setting up your Trust, I apologize that you haven't been able to reach me.  I looked back in my emails and searched both your email addresses, checked texts and voicemails (on my personal phone) and didn't see anything except one missed call, in late September.  Now if the calls and emails went to the general companies inboxes, I'm not sure what happened.  The number that is stored in my phone for you is ************.  So if a text came from another number, it could have gotten missed in the busyness of that day.

Excuses are just that....excuses.  But in an attempt for transparency, the summer has been crazy on the pesronal side.  I've had 3 family funerals and a new diagnosis for my husband so it is very possible and even probable that communication got overlooked during those weeks for sure.

Please know we are committed to getting your Trust across the finish line which definitely includes the Funding.

If you could use this link and choose a day/time that works for you all to hop on Zoom, I can walk you through the Funding steps and get that process going. (link removed but was included for the client)

Again, I apologize for any frustration it caused in not responding more quickly.  I look forward to hearing from you soon"

END OF EMAIL THAT WAS SENT TO CLIENT
