I placed an order for medical tape on 2/24/2022. In the order screen, my shipping total showed as $5.25. However, when I clicked pay, I was then charged $15.00 for shipping, rather than the $5.25 in my total on the website. I politely sent emails on 2/24 and then again on 3/12 when I still hadn't heard back requesting a refund. On 3/17 I started a ****** dispute because I had not heard anything back from the seller to try to get my refund. Only then did the seller respond and say, "Julianne, We are sorry the shipping price changed. We use live **** shipping rates. If **** is down it goes to a default flat shipping rate. We will see what your exact shipping rate should have been and refund the difference." However, they then alleged they were unable to issue the refund due to the open ****** case. I suggested they would have to issue the refund through the dispute process. They then responded, "I will contact ****** and work through them today." So rather than escalate it further, I told ****** the merchant had agreed to refund me and let the case close. However, as of today, 4/25 the refund has not been issued, so I followed up with another email. However now, Kids Hope Chest is refusing to issue the refund because they claim they no longer need to because "the case has been closed" and they feel found in their favor, but this is misleading and deceitful. This company specifically sells medical tape to parents of children with disabilities and are taking advantage of those parents with price differences from the payment screen to what was actually collected and then refusing to issue the refund with manipulative and misleading emails.
