They will not send prescriptions to the pharmacy without a processing fee. Or you can get it filled by them and they will charge you double than any other pharmacy. I asked for an explanation and they refused to give me one. They also refused to give me a copy of the prescription for my dog. Then after I agreed to pay the $15 fee. They refused service and stated that I was threatening them after I stated that I would be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the vet bored.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/12/2023

This was the FIRST visit by this client to my veterinary clinic. His wife, NOT him, brought the dog in for annual vaccines. Not once during the office visit was any medications mentioned, nor prescribed. This was a routine office visit for vaccinations. After the wife got home, the husband called back and wanted a prescription filled. We had no records of the dog being on any medications, so therefore, we had to contact his previous veterinarian,  The medication had not been prescribed nor filled for over 2 years. He was told that there is a $15.00 prescription fee that covers 1 year. He became very belligerent with my receptionist. At that point, he was told that he had a copy of his shot records and that we would no longer be providing service to him.

I will not have my staff subjected to this kind of behavior, especially by someone whom has never even entered my clinic,
