2 items I now have consigned with Red Collection in Greensboro, Mill St location. Cherry China Cabinet and matching Cherry Server. Requested since they match they be placed side by side in the store in a location where they have a chance of selling. Each placed far apart at far end / back of the store w no traffic. Went to store 1st time. Price tag missing on server. Complained to owner, Tom Hayes, 2x about incompetence and obfuscation. I was told in email that action would be taken and that “my concerns are very important” and “would be resolved”. I came into the store 2nd time to see situation. I could not find the server anywhere. Was told I had to find it myself. Suggested what if I wanted to just take home. Was told I still had to find it myself to do that, that they did not know where it was at. Subsequent phone calls with other employees indicated they did not know where the server is. The china cabinet was moved but is full and I mean full of hundreds of old china pieces as if it is being used as a warehouse storage cabinet. Requested third time they find the server, show it to me and fix the issues. Requested that with no chance for them to have sold for them to extend the contract. They refused this also. Paid 150 for them to pick up these items. I really have no means to bring back home due to my vehicle’s limited capacity. Requesting they properly display items together with price tags intact in a decent traffic area and extend contract. Otherwise deliver them back to me and not give away at end of contract which is less than one month away. Their incompetence and obfuscation has turned a contractual good faith arrangement into a joke where I have lost the value of these pieces. I wish very much I had put them up for sale myself. This consignment is like throwing these very nice furniture pieces in the trash.
