Was sold a bad vehicle and was told they would fix all the problems before delivering the promaster van. I drove to NC from Virginia Beach put down $5000 cash and financed the rest as well as purchased an extended warranty. When I arrived I pointed out that the vehicle was leaking gas and if I were to drive it back to VA it would have likely caught on fire. So I had to spend the night in NC because he promised his mechanic would fix it. The next day it still wasn't ready so we agreed he would take care of the vehicle and he would pay the costs to have it shipped to me. Thursday May 19th I was told the vehicle was completely fixed and he had it delivered to my home. Immediately I could see an active leak from the veh. I contacted the dealership and at this point still haven't driven the veh other than to drop it off at the mechanics less than .5 miles away. I paid $712 out of pocket and when I went to pick it up today May 24th the check engine light is on. Diagnostic says it's the Oil pressure switch and it would be another $600+ to fix which the dealership said this was replaced by his mechanic. The dealership is trying to wash their hands of it and said well it is buy as is. They also as of today still have the vehicle up on their Facebook Marketplace for sale. I want all repairs paid for and my down-payment returned.

    Dear Melisa Neal,

    Dear Dispute Resolution Specialist/ Melisa,

Customer has a very good mechanic background and was aware of the condition of the used vehicle before signing all the documents including "AS IS NO WARRANTY."  Customer inspected thrilly under the engine and noticed the light gasket leak, drove the vehicle in the city and on the highway and was very happy with the running condition.  If the vehicle has a major leak, we would not allow a road test period.  Additionally, he told us that he is not worried about it and he has a good mechanic shop in Virginia Beach that he will be taking it there to perform a complete maintenance service as he does to all his vehicles.

Nothing on the We Owe Form indicates oil leaks or gasket leaks repairs to be performed by the dealer.

We Owe Form states clearly that CUSTOMER WILL COVER ANY REPAIR OVERAGE

In reviewing the invoices, customer choose to perform additional maintenance on his vehicle as he wishes such as A/C recharging, replacing additional gaskets, and new oil change, etc..  nothing pertaining the injector-s repair that we fixed on the We Owe form.  That means we repaired the injector-s correctly as we promised on the We Owe Form.
