On 8/01/2022 I brought 2 kittens for shots and exams. Usually they do not allow you to come inside during the exams but this time I was allowed. After completion of the exam I had told the vet I wanted to schedule their spay and neuter appointments. The assistant then asked how I was paying and I told her credit card. She then informed me that in order to secure an appointment I would need to put down a deposit of $200 per animal. Didn't want to do it at that time so she took my card to front desk to run the payment and asked how I would like my receipt. Told her email was fine as I have been going to Southwoods for years and trusted them. Several days later I printed the receipt and saw that I was charged $41.50 per kitten for a "Prepaid Intestinal Parasite Screen." I was never asked if I wanted this test for them and at $41.50 per kitten I know I would not have approved it at that time. Sent an email through their website asking for a refund of the money. Never heard anything from them although every message I have sent prior has always received a reply. Since I did not hear anything I sent them a letter through the mail on 8/14 and still have not received a response from them. I also told them that I would be happy to mail back the sample containers if that is what was holding up refunding my money.
