On 12/19/3022, The Province misrepresented via staff and their website that there were several one bedroom apartments available. The application fee was paid by me for my son ******* ******** based on information given to me by ***** at The Province and The Province website indicating on 12/19/2022 that there were several one bedroom apartments available. Only AFTER paying the $170 application fee was I then told by ***** at The Province that there were not any one bedroom apartments available. He said manager ******* forgot to tell him the one bedrooms were sold out and she forgot to update the website. ******* apologized and confirmed that she forgot to update the website. Upon learning that I was given false information by staff and the website, I immediately requested a refund during telephone conversations with *****; *******; and Greystar. I was told no refund would be issued to my credit card. I emailed the manager at province to request a refund because of province’s negligent misrepresentation. I also spoke to the Province/Greystar corporate office and again requested a refund and was told no. I then filed a dispute with my bank. I did not authorize a charge of $170 for an “unavailable”apartment, but only paid it with the understanding/confirmation by Province staff and website that there were several one bedroom apartments available. Again, I only paid the $170 for Application fee because The Province staff and their website said they had several one bedroom apartments available. This was false as I explained above. My bank immediately credited my card $170. However, The Province recently charged my son ******* $35, but I don’t understand what this charge is for. I want this $35 charge reversed immediately. Province was negligent in their Is representation and My son should not owe them any amount of money. I’ve requested reversal of this charge by email, but was told no. Please help to get $35 charge reversed.
