I recently filled out an application for JKM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT & was denied not because of my credit, not because of my income, or even my rental history but because of my background I quote. After asking what background ***** states the charges from 2019, mind you I did have pending charges during 2019, but 2020 all charges pending was dropped. I even provided proof from my lawyer that those charges was dismissed and after I still received a call stating that my application was denied. I'm unsure why I'm being held accountable for dismissed charges at this point I have a good job and those dismissed charges didn't stop me from getting it but it can stop me from being able to have a roof over me and my child's head. Every other rental company I've contacted in my area states that dismissed or dropped charges are something that they don't look at only pending or current charges. So I'm thinking that this company is racially profiling people and clearly making up their own rules and it's not right at all. I've pretty much gave this property $45 for nothing had I known that they looked at dismissed charges I would've never applied for this company.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2021/12/03) */ The applicant was denied due to multiple reasons. She had only been at her new job for one month. The rental verification came back with reason for concern. The applicant does have 2019 *************** charges from 2019, that do NOT show up as dismissed on the ************************** base. We consider all aspects of the tenant before making any decision to approve or deny.
