    I purchased a section from Simplicity Sofas (Dimarmel **** on August 5th. I was told two three weeks to manufacture. After four weeks I began to inquire and was told it was done and would be shipping soon. Then, I was told there was some issues with shipping. Communication with the company was easy and responsive before I made the purchase. My calls were answered or returned within a few hours. Since purchasing, communication has been awful. I send text messages, emails, and voice mail with no response for days, and the information provided is very vague. Im very sad that it has come to this, and I really hope my money hasnt been stolen.

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I continued to call, text and email with no response. I filed a dispute with my credit card company for a refund.

    On February 10, 2024, I placed an online order for a three piece sectional sofa plus an additional slipcover from SimplicitySofas, order number *****. I paid for the order in full $4,909.00.Their website said, and still says, that "Our current best estimate turn around time anywhere between 4 weeks to 10 weeks." Ten weeks after SimplicitySofas accepted my payment was April 20. It has been 16 weeks since I paid for this sectional.I have repeatedly contacted them asking for an estimate of the delivery date. They have not answered any of my requests. They have not acknowledged my messages in any way. And they have kept my nearly $5000 in advance payment.Sadly, I must ask for a refund of that money. Sadly, because the sectional really sounded as if it would be perfect for my little 800-square-foot house. I would be grateful if the BBB could persuade someone at this company to contact me regarding my refund.

    Purchase of sofa online on 9/26/2022. No information at time of purchase regarding extended wait times for delivery. After reviewing email confirmation having no estimated ship date. we discovered FAQ section saying one year delivery time. Given COVID situation and the fact we had purchased from this company back in 2015 with no problems, we were willing to wait a year. However, the company has been very difficult to get updates during the 12 months. They don't return phone calls or answer emails. We are at the one year mark with no communication on shipment of the product. At this time we've found alternative companies to use for modular sofa, and would like the money refunded.

    I placed order #***** with Simplicity Sofas for $4367.00 of furniture. I was told to expect the furniture in August of 2023. I ordered it on 6/5/22. I have emailed and called several times to no avail. I’m now assuming they’ve stolen my money.

    I placed an order for slipcovers with Simplicity Sofas (Dimarmel, Inc.) on January 10, 2022. The company contacted me and said that they had overcharged me for the Ottoman and would contact me to issue a refund. The refund was never provided. They also said that it would be a year before I would get what I ordered. It has been over a year and I haven't gotten anything from them. I started calling them 2 weeks ago to cancel the order. I have called at least a dozen times, I emailed, and I can't reach anyone to cancel the order and get a full refund, including the amount I was originally overcharged. I am hoping for some help in contacting the company as my efforts have been fruitless. Again, all I want is a refund of the money I paid. I am tired of waiting for the product, frustrated by the horrible customer service, and will take my business elsewhere. But they have $3,537. of my money and I need that back. Please help me contact an actual person at Simplicity Sofas to secure a refund. Thanks so much. ******* *********

    I ordered from Simplicity Sofas, on March 22, 2021, a sofa, chair and ottoman that I financed through Affirm for a total payment of $4114.02 (.$3917.00 + $197.02 finance charge). When I originally ordered the furniture, due to the fact it is custom made furniture, it was to be delivered in 10-12 months. On January 22, 2022, 10 months after ordering, I contacted Simplicity Sofas via *mail and I received a response that they were still working on back log and there was still 2-3 months before I could *xpect my order delivered. Since January 2022, I have reached out several times via *-mail and phone and I have not received a response back from them. I was still *xpecting my order to be delivered, and as of 3/12/2023 Simplicity Sofas has still not responded to any of my requests for delivery or tried to resolve the problem. I would like a refund in the amount of $4114.02, which is the cost of the furniture $3917.00 and the $197.02 finance charge I incurred if they will not deliver the furniture now.     I ordered replacement back cushions for my ********** **** on November 15, 2022/ The young woman assured me that they would be mailed on nov 18th. Order Number ***** $192.50 I have emailed and called a dozen times. The phone says mailbox is filled ( to the sound of little kids ), nobody responds to emails. Is the company out of business? I am ok if they are just slow, but to be unable to contact them is concerning. Thanks

    I ordered a sofa from Simplicity Sofas on February 24, 2021, order #****. I understood it would take 10-12 months for delivery. After repeated calls, I was able to speak to a woman in their office in early August 2022 (1 year and six months from the initial order). She was very kind and assured me that my sofa was finished and should ship within the following two weeks. After eight weeks had gone by with no shipping notification, I began calling nearly every day, leaving messages, sending emails, all to no avail. We are now at 1 year and 10 months and still have not received delivery or notification of shipment. Like others dealing with this company, they do not answer phone calls, respond to voicemails, or return emails. They put the customer in a very difficult position since it is impossible to contact them. They have had our money (c $2000) for nearly two years and have not delivered the product. We would appreciate your assistance in urging them to ship our order. Thank you.

    The business advised me they could not provide white glove service for the sofa I ordered. Ms. B********* told me in April 2022, Dimarmel would refund the $300.00 I paid for this service when I ordered my sofa (order *****). To date, I have not received the $300.00. I have the sofa and it's lovely.

    I ordered a sofa and chair in May of this year after talking with a representative of this company--the reviews and testimonials I read online were very positive, and the representative very personable and helpful. I placed my order on May 26, 2022. The charge was 3448.00 and the estimated delivery date was 10/4/2022. Although I figured that might be an optimistic date, when I realized in September that I would be out of the country on that date, I decided to give them a call just to make sure the couch and chair wouldn't arrive while I was away---and that's when things got weird-- Over the course of the next 10 days, I made 5 phone calls and sent 2 emails, just trying to get some response. The first call allowed me to leave a message, but after that, there was just a recording informing me that the mailbox was full, and I should try again later... there have been no replies to my emails... I have now returned from my trip, and have tried one more phone call---same "mailbox is full" message. I FINALLY googled "Simplicity Sofas Better Business Bureau" (why didn't I do this before I ordered?) and I see that there are myriad complaints about this company--- I know that at this point, the original delivery date is only about 2 weeks overdue, and if I hadn't been called out of the country, I don't think I would have even tried to contact the company yet, knowing how common it is these days for delivery times to be extended. But I HAVE tried to contact the company, and the fact that I've been unable to get any response from them leaves me in great doubt that they mean to honor their obligations. Also, now that I search my emails, I only find order confirmations for the fabric swatches I ordered prior to ordering my furniture---no order confirmation for actual purchase--although the charge certainly showed up on my credit card on May 26, 2022. I do not hold out much hope that I will ever see the furniture I ordered, and 3500.00 is money I can ill afford to lose...
