    My son‘s been going here for two years. We moved from Thomasville to advance about a year ago. We’ve been having some transportation issues but have been trying to get my son out to his appointments. He’s at the end of his treatment his braces should be coming off soon and I went to go reschedule an appointment and they told me that he could no longer go to that practice due to missed appointments. I believe that that is not fair as the transportation issues is beyond my control. I’ve tried taking him to a few other places but they’ve all said that once treatment is started somewhere Medicaid won’t pick it up somewhere else. And that we have to pay out-of-pocket to continue treatment. I don’t have that kind of money I’m just trying to figure out how we’re going to get his braces off now because of this.

    The patient refered to in the complaint began orthodontic treatment in our office on 05/22/2019. During this time the patient has had a total of 33 missed or changed appointments. Patients/Parents are informed before the initiation of orthodontic treatment that they must come every 4 to 6 weeks for adjustments or detrimental effects will result. Our practice is not responsible for a patient’s transportation. It is Dr. Bailey’s sincerest desire to complete every patient that she accepts ideally. I would like to remind anyone involved in the patient’s case that patient’s behalf ever contacted our office to notify us of an address change. Numerous phone calls were made from our office to contact responsible parties with no answer nor returned calls. Since starting treatment patient’s hygiene has always been poor with broken appliances 13 times out of the 15 times that we saw the patient. We have made arrangements to see the patient again however I must reiterate that without the patient and the responsible party’s cooperation, competition of patient’s orthodontic treatment is expected to be less than ideal.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and I accept it. I have a meeting/consultant tomorrow morning to hopefully continue on with his treatment
