I have made two attempts to contact management/owner via the restaurant website with no response. My family ate at the ************ location on 9/15/2023. Our order # is ******, and our table was A1. My daughter ordered Combination 1. She is allergic to seafood, shellfish, and all nuts. My wife talked with numerous staff members about the concern of exposure to seafood and shellfish because fish and shrimp are both on the menu and are common at most Mexican restaurants. She did not, however, discuss any concerns about nuts because nuts are not in Mexican food, or so we thought. Mexican is our favorite type of food, and we have eaten at Mexican restaurants in **, SC, Georgia, and ******* and have never encountered a situation where nuts are part of the food! My daughter started feeling badly after she ate a few bites of her meal and because she had eaten a lot of chips and felt bad, decided not to eat any more. She did ask for a to-go box to bring her meal home. When we got home, she still didn't feel good and was nauseous. The next day, she gave it to her brother. He too has an allergy to peanuts and became violently sick within minutes. He threw up and began having pain in his chest. We took him to the hospital, and they confirmed he was having an allergic reaction. My wife called the restaurant and found out that peanuts are used in the sauce for enchiladas! It should be clearly marked on the menu that peanuts are used in the sauce for everything it is in. It is very irresponsible for a restaurant to use one of the most common allergens as an ingredient without alerting its customers. This is especially true considering it is not common for peanuts to be in enchiladas. As compensation for the emergency situation we were thrust into because of poor restaurant communication, I request to be refunded $82.02 for our family's meal, and I request for any charges not covered by our health insurance to be reimbursed by La Unica.

Deceptive business practices. Ordered lunch for 2 adults and 2 young children from lunch menu. Rang items up more than one time and charged double, example queso. Also rang items ala cart that were combined on menu: Ex. Charged for rice that was stated included, charged to jalapeos that were included. **** expected to be $40 to $50 based on menu items pointed to when ordered. Pointed to be clear. Receipt Total $73.44. Talked immediately to manager to correct discrepancies and they used language barrier to say they would not fix. Wife speaks Spanish and still said they said could not understand ** and would not fix. Obvious on receipt. Will attempt to upload to complaint. Thank you for your time.
