On 04/24/24 electronic controller component was received by company for repair. A service agreement was emailed on the same day, indicating that the unit had been tested and a $500 Zelle payment was required for the repair. I sent the Zelle payment. No report was forthcoming as to the component's malfunction. Attempted to call numerous times, leaving messages with no response until April 29th. On that date I asked for the unit to be returned if the reason for the unit's problem couldn't be conveyed. I received an email message from "****" specifying the problem, but he indicated that the unit would be shipped back requiring a $250 COD payment to **** I emailed ****, reiterating the reason for requesting the unit to be returned and instructed IER to repair the component if they were confident that certain transistors had to be replaced. Had a phone conversation with "*****" and "****" on 5/1/24 asking when repair might be completed. **** fabricated a story that I was arguing with "several" employees and decided he was done dealing with me. He sent an email to that effect on the same day. The unit was returned and a refund was issued. I discovered that the company had taken out the transistors and not returned them with the unit. When I requested the transistors, "****" refused to send them. Another company was unable to repair the unit because of the missing transistors. IER did not respond to the other company's request for the transistors over a course of almost two weeks, nor were they willing to provide the values of the transistors. On 8/14/24 I sent an ecm from a new holland tractor for repair and recieved it back and it was exactly the same as when I sent it, It contacted and was told to ship it back and they would repair it. I got it back again and it still does not work and is the same as it was. I have emailed them numerous times without any response. I was scammed out of $1400.00 and now when I call the told me I was calling the wrong place and that they didn't have a lady that worked there but miraculously after talking to the wrong person my emails was answered within minutes of my phone conversation with someone that claims they knew nothing about it.Initial Complaint

i dropped off 2 inverters to this company for a repair estimate and they were going to send me an estimate, which they never did. i have tried to contact them and they never answered the phone or sent me the estimate. they now say that they are going to keep my inverters and scrap them. i contacted the local police ***** and filed a complaint. they told me that this company seems to do this type of thing to a lot of customers and that they have numerous complaints filed with the police ***** for taking payment for work that they never did, not returning equipment that was left for estimates, and other unscrupulous work practices. this business seems to just be a scam outfit, beware.Customer Answer

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. i dont think they will respond as they are just a scam outfit and have told the police that they are not going to talk to them and that they are moving and changing their address (to hide from the many dissatisfied customers) and would not tell the police where they are moving to.Business Response

Hello,
I see *******************;forgot to tell you guys he dropped these things off 2 years ago. ******************* dropped off two inverters on August 24th, 2022. On August 25th, **** was contacted via telephone that the repair price for each was $1,250. He refused to pay any more than $200 or $300 for the repairs. **** said he would drop back by and pick them back up. That was almost 2 years ago.
Per North Carolina law, and was agreed upon by the police officer ************* to our facility because of *******************, we are not responsible for items left over 60 days. ******** attempts were made to contact **** in getting these picked up, with no communication from him. A certified letter was sent to him as well, explaining the storage charges that have incurred. Our last phone call with him was in early May. He refused to pay for storage.
His units were taken to a recycling center. We do not have his abandoned units anymore.
We will be pursuing legal remedy at this point with *******************.

I am rejecting this response because:
what the company is stating is a complete fabrication. they can and will say anything to make it sound good. they do this to many customers, as a person can see by the multitude of similar complaints. the police department also has a multitude of similar complaints filed with them as related to me when i told them about the scam that the company was perpetuating. the police verified the scam in person but stated it was a civil matter and i would have to get a lawyer. i am sure that the company knows that and counts on the fact that an out of state customer would spend more on legal fees than it would be worth. they have this scam well practiced, they have many similar complaints from many customers, the police are aware of what is going on and are sympathetic but cant do anything about it. the only way that these thieves will be caught in the act is to run a sting operation on them and expose their business practices, but with the state of affairs currently in the country there are much more important criminals to deal with. again i am sure that knowledge factors into their standard operating procedure of defrauding their customers.Initial Complaint

We contacted Industrial Electronics Repair about fixing two PCB boards for a ****** welding machine. ***** is the only person that responded at the phone number provided on the website. She asked for 600 USD to repair each board up front and through a bank transfer. She sounded very confident about repairing the boards. I trusted her but I am regretful on that. Upon getting the boards back they never worked. I sent an email and followed up with a phone call mentioning that the boards do not work. ***** said to send them back which I did. After they arrived at IER I received an email stating they were fine. They were sent back to me and still don't work. I followed up with an email and phone call to ***** saying that the cost of shipping and downtime has exceeded the cost of new boards. I asked for a refund. ***** said that a technician will contact me but never did. I just want the money refunded. I don't normally review or complain but after seeing how many complaints there have been about IER I believe potential customers need to be warned about my experience.Initial Complaint

I contracted Industrial Electronic Repair to a Delem Press Brake Control Electronic board. They were unsuccessful multiple times and continued to tell me it was something else. The final attempt they wanted me to send the entire monitor. After sending the parts for repair and paying additional money to have it repaired, they were never once successful. They cheated and lied their way the entire time. Unfortunately I am reading all negative reviews of this company and most have them have the same complaint. These people are thieves! The email thread I attached is just a small portion of the lies that were told. The boards never worked after they claim they did.Customer Answer

May 3, 2022 sent in a non working cluster to this company and was charged for the repair. Cluster was sent back and was NOT repaired. Unit was sent back 4 TIMES to this company and they sent it back in the sam state each time. Epoxy was put in on of the screws the third time it was mailed to the company to see if they were actually inspecting it which they never did. Contacted "Donna" over 15 times to resolve the issue and was told that i would gt a call back every single time, email and have never revieved any type of response. I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint over past lasted 14 months.When contacted on 9 different dates they stated a tech would contact or email or callback to remediate the issue with a company tech. Never was a response was attempted. Spent over over 8 months reloving the issue to to no resolution or financial compensation or even a response in the company’s resolution to issue. Regarding - sailboat auto pilot Discussed and sent auto pilot to vendor ( Industrial Electronic Repair) for repair 7.18.23 Was informed cost to repair would be $1025. By check only no credit card accepted. Auto pilot sent back to me 8.3.23 with invoice listing repair at $750.00 Unit and repair did not work, vendor stated to send unit back under warranty. Sent back 8.15.23 and requested quick turn around based on delivery needs. Unit arrived late. Auto Pilot still does not work. Subsequent contact with vendor being ignored. Emails, phone calls. In January of this year I reached out to Industrial Electronic Repair (IER) to see if they can repair two Ciar Spa liner actuators. Received email back on 1/16/23 saying they can repair and they offer a free evaluation. 1/19 - Shipped out the two linear actuators to IER, they received on 1/23. 1/31 - Received quotes for repairs in the amount of $250 EA plus $25 S&H for a total of $525. 2/3/23 - Returned signed quotes via email to start repairs. 2/9 - Sent email to IER to check on status of repairs and they responded back they should be done by the middle of the following week and that I send payment out for the repairs. 3/5/23 - After returning from vacation I sent a check to IER in the amount of $525 and sent email to IER informing them of this. 3/6 - IER responded back that they will send out the repaired linear actuators that day or the next. 3/11 - Received the linear actuators via UPS. Upon opening of the shipping box, the mounting block on one actuator was damaged. Shipping box was not damaged. Informed IER of this via email. I also filled out a claim form with UPS. I have sent several follow up emails to IER regarding how the damaged actuator was going to be repaired or replaced. During that time frame I plugged in the damaged linear actuator to see if it was actually repaired to make it run. It did not work. I informed IER via email of this deficiency and that it was not repaired as quoted and invoiced. I have sent them several follow up emails regarding compensation for the damaged non working linear actuator. As of today, 7/5/2023, I have had no response from IER since 5/9/2023. The current condition of the linear actuator makes it non-usable. I am seeking a refund for the full amount of repairs of $525 to make whole the damaged non working linear actuator.Customer Answer

Sent in a very specialized high voltage power supply for repair. They claimed repair was done and sent back ($130 shipping), charged me $2,017, paid on Amex. Installed (I'm a electrical engineer since 1979) and non-functional. Returned (under warranty, again my $130). They claim nothing wrong. They submitted to AmEx disputes a random You Tube of some/any power supply on a bench with a meter attached as "proof" it's working ON A BENCH! As I said before with the pulse forming network you CAN NOT bench test this supply! These company is fraudulent
