I went to ***************** about a stye in my eye. My copay was $40. ***************** prescribed a steroid antibiotic. I took the eye drop for a week. The stye went away but my eye started to turn red and enflamed. I went back to ***************** for a follow up but was charged another $40 copay. He looked at the eye and said to continue with the eye drop. I did but it blew up even worse and enflamed. Then I went back to ***************** and paid another $40 copay. ***************** looked at the eye and said to continue the eye drop every three hours. I did the eye drops as he recommended but the eye started hurting in excruciating pain. Then I contacted a teledoc doctor because ***************** wasnt open on the weekend and his emergency line wasnt working. The teledoc doctor said to discontinue the eye drops and gave me a regular antibiotic eye drop. I called ***************** Monday morning but his assistant told me that ***************** wanted me to continue the eye drops that was causing a lot of pain. I contacted the Manager on Tuesday and explained how disappointed I was that ***************** couldnt call me back. Then he did call me back and he then told me to stop the eye drops. I then made an appointment with my primary doctor who referred me to another eye doctor. I went to that eye doctor that I was referred to and I was told I was having an allergic reaction to the steroid eye drops that ***************** prescribed. I feel that the care wasnt caring at all and want a refund of the last two visits and the insurance company refunded as well. Not sure what that was about but I feel I cant trust ***************** at Carolina Eye Care.
