I responded to a very good on line marketing piece from Blackwell Landscape Group for a lawn replacement and a sprinkler system. Was told he could start the following week and was it ok to deliver irrigation systems to my property. The job was quoted at $3256.72 and my contract called for a 50% down payment yet he asked for 65% which I gave him by paying with my credit card but said it didnt go through and blamed it on a collection service that he and other contractors used and all had trouble with so he asked that I write a check, payable to ***** ********************** and put Carolina *********** in the memo section which I did. Never to hear from him again. My check was dated 3/24 accidentally which was several days in advance of the date it was writttn and it was cashed on the 20th the same day he picked it up by his phone photo . He told me he did all the landscape work for ********* Auto Group so I emailed a man named ************************* who was responsible for hiring these services to confirm same ( he didnt accept calls ) and I never got a response from either the original or a follow up email. We then checked BBB and found I was but one of many individuals who was taken by Mr ********************** and the ** was always the same. Card not accepted ? Asked for check then either never showed up or did insufficient work. I did notice that one gentleman waited 30 days before taking legal action as that seemed to be the length of time given to contractors to at least begin their work. Like all the others , I have lost faith in the ********************** Group and request my deposit be returned without my need to seek expensive legal action. These are very unscrupulous individuals praying on unsuspecting people of good faith I am # ** complaint in 3 years to have been duped and someone with power shut this operation down. I sent my complaint to the consumer protection department of the State ***************** office only to find another dead end. Hope you can help us ! ***************************
