On 7/5/22, two technicians employed with Healthy Home Heating & Air (hereinafter "HH") provided duct cleaning services on 2nd floor of my home. After completing work, the technicians removed a large/heavy piece of equipment used in the process by resting/dragging it on each individual stair. This resulted in heavy thumping sounds on the staircase as each stair was used for leverage. The carpet had previously been removed on the stairs & subsequently new stair parts installed, which were newly sanded & stained a few days prior to the work completed by HH. Though, I did not inspect the stairs on the day of their departure, I noticed the next day that there were scratches leading down the stairs consistent with something heavy being dragged down the stairs. I notified the flooring *** who inspected & agreed that it was the result of the machinery being dragged down the stairs. I also notified HH & spoke directly with the President of the company who acknowledged that if the stairs were freshly stained/painted this would cause damage. He asked for photos which I agreed to provide and requested his contact info be sent via ********** indicated he would if he had time. The info was not provided until 7/18 (almost 10 days later) after I reminded him in a call that I initiated that he never sent his info. I then sent the photos & advised that the prelim est. was $500 but I would speak to the owner of flooring *** to confirm this was solely HH's responsibility as there was minor touch-up to be completed by the flooring *** Flooring *** attempted to repair the damage but was not successful in restoring to original finish. I communicated to HH the scratching was deeper than anticipated & cost to refinish is $1,625. HH asked to inspect the damage twice but never agreed to a date. When the cost was believed to be $500, he offered to send a check. Now that sanding & full re-staining is required, I'm not able to receive resolution regarding damaged caused by HH.
