9/4/2022 They promised to mail a check for tack and other items which they kept when I moved my horses - items for which I was never reimbursed. Cost to replace them: - Halter: $50-$75 - Lead Rope: $25-$35 - Bucket: $20-30 9/10/22: I asked about the check and was told it was not a priority. Since then, there has been no communication - and no check.

Ms. ***** gave Stone Creek Farm a 4 day notice that she was moving her horses on Sunday. Per our signed contract, a 30 day notice must be given in order to fill vacant stalls or you will be charged the full months board on each horse. We charged her 1 full month board on 1 horse and credited her back almost a full month on the second horse that we did not have to do due to her short notice and no fault of our own.  Approximately a $450 refund to her

The halter and lead rope she refers to was not purchased from Stone Creek Farm when she bought her horse from us. She had been told numerous times over the past several years of using our halter and lead rope, that she needed to purchase her own and also said Stone Creek Farm never asked her to buy another halter. . She chose not to and now claims we took her halter and lead rope.   We provided her a halter and lead rope to have and use with her horse. The bucket she refers to belonged to **** ********* another boarder of ours.

At this point, the credit she received of $450 and her accusations of the items claimed to be hers which weren’t, consider the credits we provided and saved her well above and beyond the cost of a $20 dollar halter, a $10 dollar lead rope and a $10 dollar bucket she claims were her belongings. Stone Creek Farm still was impacted $410 dollars due to a lack of planning on Ms *****s behalf but we still tried to help her out once again.

Note: This is the second time Ms *****s horses have been moved from our farm and brought back.

I am rejecting this response because:

I purchased the current purple lead rope and returned to them the one that came with Tucker. I purchased the bucket when I moved Tucker back.

I am attempting to obtain receipts for **** ****** ***** and *** where I purchased the bucket they claim belonged to another boarder (an outright lie). American Express has verified my two purchases at **** ****** on 7/27/21 and 7/31/21 for $47.92 and $21.34 respectively. Texts with Michelle B****** on 7/32/21 (attached) indicate my plans to purchase the bucket she requested. American Express has verified one of my purchases there on 7/31/21.  I can print the authorization details., and I will contact the merchant tomorrow to obtain copies of those itemized receipts.

Not once was I told to purchase a new halter. Had I been instructed to do so, I would have done so - just as I did as soon as I was told to purchase the feed bucket and clasps.  The details about my notice and departure are irrelevant to this complaint. Additionally, the stall was rented out before I even left to someone with a horse on property already. So they were paid in full and then some for the stall, which means they were not negatively impacted, as claimed.  THE POINT OF MY COMPLAINT is that Jonathan B****** promised to pay me for the items. I trusted him and took him at his word that he would. Yet a month later he still has not done what he said he would.

The point is: Do what you say you will do. That is all I have been asking.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *****

I do dearly appreciate your efforts in this matter.  Our farm has been operating for 15+ years and never a complaint.  To finalize this discussion, and since we are not BBB accredited nor wish to be, our farm has tons of said buckets.  Miss ***** always labeled all of her buckets.  The bucket in question was destroyed by her horse and our client let ME use her bucket for PJ. Nowhere on this farm is there a bucket labeled ***** on it. She may produce as many receipts as she would like but this means nothing.  She has left our facility twice and returned.  This lady has dissolved so many relationships with barn owners in our area.   The halter and lead line are not hers.  This is the last response to your facility or to Mrs. *****.
