    Performance Lawn has been providing lawn care and leaf removal services for my property for several years. I have become increasingly dissatisfied with their service and the cost. My service consisted of an annual service for lawn care during the growing season and leaf removal at the end of the year. I pay a monthly fee that covers those full services over the 12 month annual period. The cost of leaf removal for the end of the year is spread out over the 12 months to provide for a consistent payment and eliminate the large spike at the end of the year during 3-4 months of leaf removal. My monthly fee was $320 for the 2022 calendar year. I also paid $320 for ******** February, March and April of 2023. I was notified of a price increase for **** I am not happy with the service or the cost increase so I indicated I wanted to cancel my service and receive a refund of the 2023 pre-collected funds for 2023 leaf removal. They refused. They indicated that the months of January through April of 2023 were covering the costs of past leaf removal. That is incorrect. I paid a full calendar year (12 months) to cover those services and a new calendar year has begun. What would they have done if I cancelled my service in January? Try to send me a bill for past work that I already paid for. An annual service is for a calendar year and not some arbitrary period of months that fits their narrative. Their lack of customer service, failure to accept accountability, and disregard for fairness just makes it clear that I dont need to continue doing business with them. While they won't provide the breakdown of what the extra pre-collected cover, my actual lawn care is significantly lower than the leaf removal monthly costs. I would estimate that $120 per month covers lawn care and $200 per month is pre-collected for leaf removal. I have paid $800 in pre-collected funds in 2023 that I want refunded.

    Service provided was really good. Sometimes there were a different crew. I actually would have preferred the same crew but didn't think to ask for them. The owner ***** was very good at responding to any concerns I may have had. I recently had to discontinue the service due to a loss of income otherwise I would have kept their services.
