Detail Summary:- Began 1/15/21, formalized 1/29/21 based on their written agreement (e.g., Scope of Project) presented by Jennifer Benson Architecture, PLC (JBA), Sr. ********* *********************************. - Scope of Project signed 2/1/2021 for design/construction documents for two openings in the existing dining room, new kitchen layout with pantry and a peninsula. Converting the existing pantry to a new office after growing over an existing foundation slab and existing roof. Installing new 36" door to go to the back yard and change the exterior material around the office area with hardi plank or shake, reconfiguring the space on the existing laundry to share it with the new office. Redesign the existing master bathroom and find a place for a new powder around the foyer. - Scope of Project is broken down into sections titled "Scope of Services". Each Scope of Service has specific deliverables and services to be provided by JBA. The first Scope of Project, the ***************** includes: Site Visit, Floor Plans with new layout, Elevations, 3-D color, renderings to show the design, Review meeting with the client, One round of revisions as needed." The Scope of Project also has a Payment section which includes JBA's expectations of the client once JBA has provided their deliverables, services AND has received approval of the schematic design.-To date, JBA has been paid $800.00 ($400 to initiate project and $400 at the first review meeting); an invoice for $1200.00 was forwarded to us to initiate the Construction Documents before the review and approval was provided on the Schematics. On 6/17/21, Sr. ******** was provided a detail list of missing items from Schematic pkg as well as emailed list for follow up on 7/13/21. In addition, strongly disagreed to what was provided as "3-D rendering of design" as opposed to what was shown on JBA's website. I was told "you'll need to take it up with Jenn." Emailed architect 8/5, called 8/17 and 8/26/21 voicemail was full.
