On April 4, 2023 ********************** Heating and Air replaced our hot water heater.When removing the old heater one of the workers had some bulky keys on the outside of their pants and it marked up our staircase wall as they went down our stairs.I notified the other worker immediately which is the father of the owner, **** **********************. He notified his son and he came out to look at the damage and took photos.I told him that I will get my painter out to give me an estimate to fix it since it was just painted a year ago.I obtained an estimate for painting the wall in the amount of $150. The painter is booked out so I painted the wall myself. Mr. ********************** asked me for before and after photos which I provided via email.The reason that I am filing this complaint is because he has yet to follow thru and send me a check for the agreed amount of the painting of the wall. We agreed to $75 on May 31. It has been almost two weeks and I have not received it in the mail. He indicated that he would work on it the day we talked and would mail it. I have not heard from him with any updates.It is very disappointing and frustrating that I have to keep following up on this. If I was asking for them to provide a service where they would get paid, they would be right on it. I should not have to keep asking and asking as they are the ones that caused the damage to my property. Below is the documentation of when I contacted them.April 24 I talked with *** **********************.She said that they have to have a paid invoice to reimburse me.May 17 I emailed them that I painted the wall myself.May 19 *** ********************** emailed that she needs photos. May 22 I emailed the before and after photos. May 26 I sent another email since I have not heard from them. May 31 over a week has gone by and I had not heard from them so I called and spoke with *** **********************.She said that she would have to have **** ********************** call me.**** ********************** called. We discussed that I painted the wall and that I would like to be reimbursed for my time and use of my paint. We agreed to half of *********** estimate ($75.00) which was $125.00.Since it has now come to me filing this complaint, I am now asking for the full amount of the painters estimate which is $125. I have had to take time out of my schedule to handle this. This is unacceptable to do a customer this way. I paid them right away on the day they installed our hot water heater.I would also like to add, that when the heater was installed in our attic, the workers left debris from the old heater in our attic space. It was laying on the floor and some in the open insulation. Some of it I could not reach to it will have to remain there. Why couldnt they clean up after themselves? Please note: I have copies of email correspondence with them if needed.Business response

This response was provided verbally to BBB.
The business has mail the consumer a check for $75 should receive it within a couple of days. If the consumer does not receive the check by 6/30/23 please reach out to BBB or the business.
