    Worst experience of my life tonight at a restaurant at ******** Lied about wait time, young, female hostesses and manager were rude, entitled, and arrogant rolling their eyes at my family. Will never return and I'm a local living 2 miles away. Use to be my regular weekend hang out. Just thought it should be known that service and integrity of staff has declined exponentially

    This was ************** "Original" email to me on how he was calling my female YOUNG hostess a "Midget"...young, etc. And how he admited to "FLIPPING" giving the finger to my staff, in which I have a photo/video of him doing it as well. To whom it *** concern:Worst experience I've ever encountered at any restaurant tonight at *****'s. I normally don't leave reviews unless food or customer service was excellent bc I'm a positive person, but this experience was an all time worst. My family arrived at 7:23pm. Table of 9. I was told 1 hr to sit outside. That was fine. We had a drink, walked to the lake, hung out, and checked back at 8:45pm after I had not received a text after ~1 hr and 20 min. I go to the hostess table to ask if our table was almost ready, and the little girl who appears to be in high school school quotes me another 45 minute wait, and says I was originally told an hr and 45 min. I told her that is a lie. Who would wait almost 2 hours to eat any restaurant? I simply ask her if we could split up our party or just eat inside as there are 5 tables open outside and numerous tables open inside for atleast the past 30 min that we have noticed. There is clearly a staffing issue. I am respectful of that and understanding if that would just be communicated. Instead of an apologetic or empathetic response, the petite, little girl and her teenager friends (3 little kids) working the hostess stand roll their eyes and tell me, "our wait time MIGHT be cut down if we are willing to sit inside." My dad is now getting irritated with the wait time. He goes to hostess stand where he is smarted off by the petite, little middle school girl and her colleagues and then the manager who appears to be about 20 years old. We eventually sit down inside after waiting over 2 hours to specifically eat outside. My mom then ask for the manager as she was freezing and upset about sitting inside after waiting 2 hours to sit outside. The hostess stand of little middle school/high school girls are now talking about us and staring at us after we have become ****** frustrated with the wait, customer service, and seating arrangements. I ask if we can sit outside again and the midget hostess girl has the audacity to roll her eyes at after the worst display of customer service we have ever received anywhere, so I flipped her off. I was then told to leave as was my family. When I say this is the worst experience my family and I have ever experienced at a restaurant that is an understatement. From the hostess stand of adolescents to the young arrogant female manager I would NEVER step foot in this place again, and I live 1 mile away and use to be a regular.Regards, -*********************** MY RESPONSE:***** Family,While I understand your concerns over the extended estimated wait time, a wait time is just that, an estimate. We are the PREMIER Family-style restaurant on Lake Norman, and these are standard wait times. Being fully staffed, we will have empty tables due to the scratch kitchen and many large parties throughout the property. According to our digital records, you were quoted an hour and **************************************************************************** 45 minutes. Regardless, you were notified that your table was ready at 8:50pm, an hour and 27 minutes after your arrival at 7:23pm. At no point did any person wait 2 hours to be seated. The big picture here, is your party consistently accosted the hostess stand consisting of girls of age to work in a restaurant. Much of the restaurant industry has employees between the age of ***** and the host stand is often their first step into the workforce. To consistently belittle, degrade, and obscenely flip the middle finger (see attached photo) directed at the employees (in which one was my daughter) in question is the point at which an apology has expeditiously exited the conversation. The entirety of last nights interaction has been verified by camera, employees, and digital record. This is a female owned and operated business and Eddies will not tolerate this type of behavior of any guest especially a grown arrogant man. To reference my 17 year old hostess as a Midget and to mock my Managers age?? knowing you are sitting next to a little girl to your left is absolutely, disgusting, unpleasant and nasty. The parent of the girl, whom is also a good customer that lives a half mile away was god-smacked that a grown man/woman with young children themselves would act in the way YOU DID! You should be ashamed; and to add insult to injury, youre a local that has patronized this restaurant before. Well not anymore!Remember, YOU created this bad experience. YOU didnt have to wait. YOU could have made the decision to eat elsewhereinstead YOU created a bad experience by YOUR Actions. At such point, you are no longer welcomed at Eddies on Lake Norman or on Eddies property for here and eternity.PS: You think by putting bad reviews on Yelp, Instagram and all the other social media platforms are going to hurt me, NOPE! What will hurt is you not able to step foot in a well-establishment Lake side dining Restaurant right down the road!KINDNESS GETS KINDNESSHAVE THE *** YOU DESERVE!!Eddies Management Team!
