Pattern of Complaint:

BBB files indicate this business has a pattern of complaints concerning Carport orders.  Customers allege they have paid a deposit and been promised a delivery date ranging from 2-15 weeks.  Customers are unable to contact the business by phone or email in regards to their orders.  Customers who are given delivery date, advise the installers are a no-show with no communication from the business.  Some customers that have purchased more than 12 months ago, are told there will be more cost to deliver.  Some customers are offered a refund because of unreasonable delays, but the refund is never received.  Other customers are told there is no refund, even for unreasonable delays by the business.  On May 19, 2022, BBB submitted a written request to the business asking them to address the pattern of complaints.  As of June 22 2022, BBB has not received a response to the pattern of complaints, 18 unanswered complaints or 6 unresolved complaints currently on file.

    We put a deposit down of $2100 in late summer os 2022 and was promised it would be installed by late fall. Once they had my deposit all communications stopped except a couple of calls from scheduling but never any dates or substance always a put off. I have filed with ***** Attorney General and are still waiting for a mediation session. Since I have purchased and installed with another company ******* *******. I have a friend Who owns **** ******* ***** dealership asked me where I had purchased the last 2 metal buildings.. I said from TNT carports...well they were a good co.pany. He too has lost his deposit of approximately $4000. Plus I feel awful I gave him this referral. I am 100% disabled and on a fixed income..they stole my money..nor have they even attempted to install or refund. I've called the local pd in ** **** but I would have to file a complaint at the police station. I called ** **** Chamber of Commerce to no avail. Please help

    8/20/21 I purchased a carport from T-N-T Carports. Paid $432.60 deposit that day.They called and set a appointment for 5/17/22 to deliver they didn’t show up didn’t hear from them again until 7/26/22 they came put up carport and they had sent wrong size gable ends said they would bring them back. That day they were paid the balance which was $3388.70. I have called so many times you can’t talk to anyone or leave messages because their mailbox is full. Never heard from anyone then 11/18/22 they showed up at my door 7:30 am with one gable end didn’t know they were coming so had to miss work again to be here. To this dateI still don’t have my other gable end. I’ve been 18 months at this and they won’t answer the phone. Could you please help me, I would appreciated it.

    will not contact me concerning a barn and shop that I wanted to purchase. Raised prices and did not inform me. Also they contracted Inter State Steel to construct buildings and Sheila the contact at TNT carports claims they are having problems with this company. TNT has my deposit of $6,198.50. which I now want back. Have tried for several weeks to contact through the phone they will not take my calls and when I leave messages will not return my calls.

    On October 6th, 2022 we paid a deposit for two carports that were ordered. We had a scheduled install date in late November; no show. Finally get Ashley on the phone and she says they will reschedule - get another delivery date - again, no show. Cannot get anyone on the phone no matter what extension or number that is called. Paid a total of $583.40. Trying to dispute this charge with our credit card company.

    Ordered a carport on 12-14-2021 to be installed in the Spring of 2022. Staring in May of 2022 I started calling the ** scheduling manager and kept getting put off that they were waiting on a crew to deliver and set up. I kept calling throughout the summer and now into November 2022 and cannot get a call back or an answer when the carport will be delivered and installed. I offered to install myself if they would deliver, they declined. I asked for my deposit to be refunded and they say they will not give it to me because they "TNT" are not cancelling my order! But if I cancel I am out the deposit. This is a real scam! I talked to Ms. Estephanie ****** who refuses to cancel my order, and who refuses to give me back my deposit for the goods and services they cannot provide.

    Placed an order for a carport on 12/10/21. Was told due to delays the normal 2 to 12 weeks installation would be late spring/early summer for the installation. Paid a deposit of $571.00. I have spoken to them a couple of times and have been told there is no delivery date as they need to get sufficient installs in my area to do my install. Most recently they have quit responding to phone calls and email.

    My next steps will be to file complaints with the Attorney General in NC and the Attorney General in PA.  If that does not work I will file a claim in small claims court for the amount I have paid plus attorney fees, etc.

    On 10/12/2021 I ordered a 18x20 shed form T N T Carports through a company call Barns.com. I put $816.75 down as a deposit. I was told it would take 10-12 weeks for delivery and installation. I received a call on 05/02/2022 asking if I was ready for installation and since then I have heard nothing from them. I have made dozens of calls to them and was told I would get 3 to 5 days notice of their arrival. I was also told that if I cancel my order I lose my deposit. I looked online and there are dozens of complaints very similar to mine. I am not sure but I think I may have been scammed out of my deposit. I am hoping your organization may be able to help since I am in Pennsylvania and the authorities here have no juristiction.

    A metal carport was ordered, but never delivered or installed. I am actually feeling like I have been a victim of a scam after reading other customer reviews for this business. This business operates under several names such as: TNT Carports, Carports.com, Barns.com, getcarports.com, Coast to Coast and Arkansas Metal Carports. After 6 weeks, and after lots of emails and several calls to customer service, they are still giving me the runaround. They have confirmed that no work has been started, and that nothing has currently been scheduled. The sales person (Tinisha L***** - *******@carports.com) has continued to give me the runaround and not escalated this issue or attempted to resolve my issue. When I requested to cancel the order and the return of my funds, she provided an excuse that it was up to her manager to make that decision. I attempted to contact her manager (Jason T***** - *****@tntcarports.com), but he has not responded back. After several emails to their customer support manager (Darla B******** - *****@getcarports.com), she provided me with a boilerplate response that didn't actually help provide visibility into if or when my order would be processed. At this point, I am running out of time and need to get a building for my building site. I would like assistance in getting my funds returned, because they order hasn't even been started nor have any materials be acquired for it. This will allow me the opportunity to work with another company or come up with another building option. Email correspondences are attached. Between July 28th and today (Sept 6th).

    I ordered a carport from TNT Carports over the phone on 12/17/2022. I paid a deposit of $249.50. I was told the carport would be delivered between 6 to 8 weeks. In July, it still hadn't arrived, no calls from the company and no responses from my emails. I was told I could get a refund but it would take several weeks. This is unacceptable.

    On July 21st, 2021, I ordered and paid a down payment ($565.80) for a carport. I was originally quoted 3-12 weeks for delivery and installation. In November, I contacted them via phone call, and I was told over the phone that we were next in line to be scheduled, just waiting on a contractor. On April 25th, 2022, I emailed carports.com (this is where all my paperwork came from) and formally requested a refund from them. A couple of days later, I was contacted via phone call. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the woman I spoke to, but she sympathized with me and assured me I would receive my refund. She told me it was too close to the end of the month but it would be processed by the end of May. I have been calling them since mid-June to find out the status. I have been transferred to accounts payable twice. Both times I had to leave a voice mail imploring them to at least call me and give me a status update. Guess what? No calls. The time frame I've waited is one thing, but the lack of transparency, professionalism, and common courtesy are intolerable and inexcusable.
