As outlined in the contract, if a permit is required for your project, it must be obtained, verified, and the foundation must be ready before the lead time can begin. You were made aware and signed a contract that stated that Grade A Metal Structures does not provide engineered plans, and it is your responsibility to obtain the necessary plans from our partnering manufacturer in order to pursue your building permit.
On January 22, 2025, you provided the required photos confirming that your site was ready for installation. However, after that, you decided to change the foundation from gravel/ground to concrete footers, which effectively placed your project back into a status of being "not ready." For the project to proceed, it is crucial that the site is properly prepared and ready for installation.
Despite this change, we worked with our manufacturer to ensure that your lead time would not restart, and we made every effort to maintain the original timeline. We understand that changes can arise, but it is essential that all conditions are met for the project to move forward smoothly.
If you were to pour concrete on the weekend of February 22nd, it would still require at least one week to cure. Furthermore, all construction is weather permitting, and as the building installation is an outdoor project, the weather plays a significant role in our timeline. Most concrete contractors will not pour concrete in inclement weather, and even if they did, the concrete would still need to cure for the allotted time before a building can be installed. Installing a building on improperly cured concrete would cause damage to the foundation. We understand that these circumstances may be frustrating, but our primary goal is to ensure the long-term integrity of your building and foundation.
Our partnering manufacturer made several attempts to contact you but unfortunately did not receive a response. Had you engaged with them more promptly, they could have worked with you directly to discuss the next steps toward getting your building installed. While other companies may promise next-week delivery, they too cannot predict the weather. For example, the recent snowstorm that affected the area has delayed many manufacturers, and we are no exception.
Your building specialist made every effort to inform you of the situation, including the fact that your lead time would not be extended after you changed the foundation. However, despite this, we did not receive a response from you.
Regarding the 8-week timeline you mentioned, it's important to note that, from the time you placed your order, only a total of 8 working weeks have passed. The manufacturers were closed during the week of Christmas and did not resume operations until January 6th. Additionally, you were not ready to proceed until January 22nd, and from that point until today, only 4 weeks have passedwell within the 6-week timeline provided at the time of your order.
The key disconnect in this process appears to be the lack of communication from your side with the manufacturer. Even when we realized this issue, we went above and beyond to ensure your lead time would not restart after the change in your foundation.
To summarize the situation, the 8-week timeline you mentioned does not accurately reflect the actual timeline. You were clearly informed and have signed a contract that outlines the specific details regarding when lead times would begin and the expectations for your project. The contract provides clear guidelines on how the process works and the requirements needed for us to proceed with the installation. The contract explicitly states the requirements for the project to proceed, including when and how things need to be done, as well as the conditions under which you would qualify for a partial refund. To clarify, based on the contract terms, you do not qualify for a refund.
We understand your desire for a quick resolution and, despite the challenges and misunderstandings, we are still committed to assisting you in getting your building. We remain professional and dedicated to providing you with both high-quality service and a quality building, which we have consistently delivered.
Delays in construction are sometimes unavoidable due to weather or other unforeseen events. While we understand that this may be frustrating, it's important to recognize that these delays do not mean your building wont be deliveredit simply requires a bit more patience.
We have not offered excuses, but have consistently provided the facts and worked to expedite your project. The delays have largely been caused by the lack of communication on your part, and we have made every effort to support you despite this.
We value your business and remain here to help you move forward with your building.

Thank you for bringing your experience to our attention. At Grade A Metal Structures, we strive to provide an exceptional experience for all our customers.
We understand your frustration regarding the situation with our former partnering manufacturer, who initially agreed to your project but later refused to accept the order after it was placed.
While our standard policy allows for a 50% refund of the down payment only in specific cases related to permitting issues, we recognize the uniqueness of your situation. Therefore, we will process a full refund of your down payment as a gesture of goodwill.

Please note that your refund is currently being processed. If you have any further questions or need assistance, do not hesitate to reach out.
    Thank you for your understanding.

A deposit was cashed. It was for a garage. They did not send us plans to submit for us to get a permit which was needed to start construction. Therefore we never signed anything to start production. We cancelled and they REFUSE to reimburse us ANY money from our deposit. They have not done ANY WORK ! Thank you in advance for your help.

Grade A Metal Structures does not send Engineered Plans. We stated multiple times that Grade A Structures will provide you with an estimated cost for plans either generic or site specific. We explain to every customer that plans if needed are handled through our partnering manufacturer and that we simply inform you of the process so you do not have any surprises on the back end. Our partnering manufacturer informed both parties they did not have generics for the state of Arizona and that you would need to purchase Site Specifics. Once you informed us that you did not want to pay that amount for the plans, we contacted another one of our partnering manufacturers to see if they would accept your order, because they would provide the generic plans for FREE and had a much shorter lead time, however there price was higher and we had to make sure they would take the building. As of today, 12/15/23 the manufacturer will still accept your order and send you FREE generic plans for your building so you will be able to obtain a permit.  Further more if you are denied a permit we will refund your deposit in FULL as stated on the signed contract.
