On September 5th 2023 I paid TnT Carport $110.31 for deposit on a replacement roll up front door for a carport that they put up couple years prior. On April 24, 2024 TnT cancelled my order after many months of promising a new door would be shipped and installed, They advised on that day that a refund in the amount of $110.31 was being initiated and would take up the 30 days to be processed. I have been following up with them ever since and as of this date I still have not received the refund of my deposit.Initial Complaint

I purchased a carport from Carports.com on January 18, 2022. I paid extra for a 14g certified model that was rated to handle snow load and in excess of 120mph winds. The 14g certified unit included a 20 year warranty from the time of installation. The carport was installed on May 25, 2022. On January 12th, 2024 there was a storm with less than 50mph winds that lifted the building and caused damage to the boat and RV stored inside of it. The building was shifted roughly 12 feet and the sidewall bent in. I have included copies of the photographs and contracts.Initial Complaint

I had a contract for an addition on a carport for the company to install. I paid the deposit on 4/17/23 for the amount of $666.71. Each time I was actually successful in communicating with an employee, they kept saying it would be ready to install in 3-4 weeks. In late summer, they said they could no longer complete the contract and so they transferred the contract to a sister company. When I contacted the sister company after 4-5 weeks, they stated they could not help with the contract as they did not do additions and TNT had never confirmed that detail with them. I had contacted TNT/Carports.com again in November/late fall and was told the order could not be filled and a check for my deposit refund would be in the mail. It has never appeared. I have called and left numerous messages. I was given a telephone extension and email address for a financial person at supreme steel that was supposed to be handling my refund. After many (dozen plus) emails and numerous phone messages, I still have not received a response. I then received a call from an installer in early February stating that the addition was to be installed that week. With the company cancelling the order in the fall, I had found a local company who installed an addition. I no longer needed the installation ******************************************** place. I want a refund of my original deposit in the amount of $666.71.Initial Complaint

Purchased a 20 x 20 carport from TNT carports (now dba TrueSteel Structures) on Nov. 16, 2023. Total price was ******** and I made a 10% deposit of ******. I still have not received my carport. On April 29, 2024 I spoke with ******** and she was putting through a refund for me since they have not delivered the carport. I have left several messages and no one will return my call and no one answers when I call. I just want my money back. Can you please help me. The contract says no refunds but I have not canceled, they will not bring it. They have bad reviews and I regret going with this company. My husband had purchased 2 carports from them in the past and my step-son purchased a garage with no problems. Thank you for your help in this matter.Initial Complaint

I placed an order on April 26 2021 and put down a deposit on a carport and it is 3 years now and still no carport and when I call it is now called tru steel not tnt carports.Customer Answer

I ordered a 30x30x10 foot metal building and was told I would get all the plans needed to get my building permit. I did not get what was needed and was told I would need to hire another company to finish the plans. this took over 6 months to reach this point. I've asked for a refund and have been getting the runaround. I was told I would get a full refund and nothing has been sent to me in months. the company will just tell you that it is in billing or it is in processing or that person is out for the day.to date, no refund has been sent to me. $2450.25 this has been going on from 04/13/2022Customer Answer

*********, ************, and TNT ************ are all the same company and all F rating with BBB (see attached screenshot). In late 2022 I entered into an agreement with TNT Carports, Inc to purchase/install a shed. A downpayment was made at that time. In mid May of 2023 the foundation was poured. There were some delays due to wet soil conditions. At the end of May 2023 I contacted ***** ** ***** carports to let them know weIwere ready for installation. I do not know ***** ** *****'s affiliation with TNT but believe they were contracted as a third party to complete the installation. I have been contacting ***** ** ***** over the last 6 months requesting the installation. I have not been given any dates and have requested at least an estimate for completion and have not received a responses. I contracted with Sheila C**** of TNT Carports in September 2020 to have an addition built for a steel barn that TNT originally built several years prior at my property in ******* ************. The contract required a 15% deposit of the purchase price of $4,840. The agreement terms as well as my exchange with Ms. C**** provide an estimate of 2-8 weeks time before build. The building was not completed in 2020 and I was told by TNT that work would commence in spring of 2021. I contacted TNT by phone and email numerous times over the following 3 years and the work has not been completed. The standard response that I receive from Stephanie M***** at TNT is that they are getting a load ready to go out to my area and they will contact me when they are ready to start. I advised TNT in the fall of 2022 that I would like a refund of my deposit or I would contact the ***** ******** Attorney General's office. They did not respond to this. I have called and emailed again this year (2023) and I was told that they are getting a load ready to come to my area and they will contact me when ready. It has been over 3 years since ordering a building with a wait time of 2-8 weeks. I would like a refund of my deposit, so that I can find other means to have the building completed. Alternatively I would like for TNT to immediately complete the structure for the agreed price.Customer Answer

We purchased our steel building back in August, 2011 which included 20 year warranty on rust through of framing on roofing material. In the last year or so, we've noticed rust spots in the roof. We called the company who sold us the building (TNT Metal Building Inc.) to report the rusting and to schedule for someone to come out and look at the building. We were told that the company had been sold and that there was nothing that the new company could do. The new company gave us a number to call but cannot reach anyone to help us. Now the areas have rusted through completely causing leaks inside the building when it rains. The cost of our building was $11,545.40 which we financed through their financing company.Customer Answer

I ordered a carport on 6/30/21. I have not received it yet. I keep calling and I either get no answer and leave a message. Which they never return my call. Or they tell me they're trying to setup a delivery date. I've sent many emails and made at least 50 calls, with no help.Business Response
