I called Leonard buildings on ********** and the headquarters about the storage unit that I purchased in full amount. I was told that the unit was available on Feb 14th. I have waited approximately 2 weeks for the delivery. I don't understand why the person cannot schedule a time and date for delivery instead the corporate office says someone will call. This is bit of frustrating.

Ordered cross bars and a roof rack for my truck. The parts didnt come in when they estimated. Dropped the truck off for first appointment. I get a call a few hours later and they tell me one bar didnt come in. No big deal. Drop the truck off the following week and get another phone call that the hardware for the roof rack wasnt in the box. They installed the cross bars improperly, didnt lock the end caps and also scratched the paint off my door jams. There were scratches on the cross bars as well. ****** denied anything was wrong and basically said this whole project was doomed from the beginning. Poor customer service on top off a bad installation team. I want my money back but am hesitant to have them do anything thinking that they may scratch my truck even worse uninstalling stuff.

      Business Response

      Date: 03/14/2025

      Dear *******,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We sincerely apologize for the frustration caused by the installation issues with your crossbars and roof rack. We understand how important quality workmanship and clear communication are, and we regret that we did not meet your expectations in this instance.

As soon as we were made aware of your concerns, our team took immediate action to resolve the issue. When you contacted our corporate office on 2/14, our District Manager, ***** *******, promptly reached out to assure you that we would take care of the necessary repairs. After discussing options, you obtained a repair quote from Dent Wizard, and when you followed up with the store on 2/27, we confirmed that we would cover the repair in full. We provided three payment options, and you selected for us to pay the invoice directly.
We continued to follow up throughout the process to ensure everything was completed as expected. On 3/6, we checked in for an update and were informed the repair was still scheduled. As of 3/13, we have received the invoice from Dent Wizard and processed the payment electronically.

Our goal has always been to address your concerns promptly and fairly, and we appreciate your cooperation throughout this process. If you have any further questions or need anything else, please dont hesitate to reach out at ********************************************* or ************.

We purchased a new shed late, last year, and it was damaged in delivery. We have sent numerous emails about having the door and a few other things repaired and the warranty department has yet to have someone come out. My understanding is it was scheduled for the week of 1/13/24, however we have not received a call from the warranty department about the repair. I left a message today, for the warranty department, and await a response. However I know that they will not respond.

I have had an awful experience with Leonards. I found you all when shopping for a bed cover and after browsing I called into my local store who got me approved with a loan to get my cover and some extra equipment. I was talked out of getting the cover I wanted for the Patriot hard cover in which I asked if Id still have access to my toolbox and was told yes. I also requested rain covers, a bug/stone deflector, rear floor liners, a grill guard, and a winch. Once the things came in I went and got it but once home I realized it was all wrong so I called in but was told it was in fact the correct parts. After careful research I found that was not the case so I took everything besides the rain covers and winch in. They ordered front and rear floor mats instead of rear liners and then when I told them they said the liners arent made for my truck. The rest of the items was for a 2024 when my truck is a 2004. After much back and forth they finally ordered correct products. I opted to have my grill guard installed and it turned out it was in fact wrong again so Im now waiting on a new one. They also tried to still charge me for a weatherstrip I returned and I noticed that the prices didnt change although the items did. I know for certain the current soft cover was cheaper than the hard one. I wanted to get a grill guard with bumper instead of the one I was forced to get and only found out about the prices because I requested a receipt when told I spent the whole amount. The cover was also defective which caused it to come off my bed and I told them but was told since they didnt install they wasn't able to help. *********** says you all are responsible for fixing this and they cant warranty to me but they can you. I just want to have my bed cover in working condition, know about the prices not changing, and if Im able to get the grill guard I want. They did also mess up my B&W slider when unloading the stuff that was wrong.

I am rejecting this response because:

I was contacted by **** immediately after having my brush guard installed nearly 2 months after my original purchase day. Instead of taking another cover I inquired about a trailer as I have been looking for one anyways and if I could use the credit would make it within my budget. **** said he figured $1300 was the prices of the cover along with overcharges I encountered. He told me that would be taken off the trailer and Id be responsible for only the $899 along with *** fees which was around $150. I asked if I could return the winch I bought prior to put toward the trailer and he agreed. I agreed to all this and well and when I came to get the trailer I seen it said $1999 on it. When I was given the receipt it showed I was only given $1019 off as well which was fine but still bothered me. I contacted **** the next morning when I noticed the *** paper showed a lien for $1655 on it which was not suppose to happen. I called **** about the charge difference first which he said was correct initially before realizing. He said the lien was valid since the money for the cover came from being financed but thats not what he said to me before.. he said he was taking the $1300 off the trailer and was eating the money. Thats not the case if I owe on it. After I explained this he said he wants me come make a whole new contract to fix everything. I agreed reluctantly but this seems so wrong. I wouldve never gotten a trailer if I didnt own it outright I wouldve opted toward something else like tires because my B&W I got the cover for is ruined already by the weather and Leonards themselves. If they will just release the lien and keep the modified contract that is fine and acceptable but right now they owe me $250-$300 and have a lien on my trailer when they shouldnt. He said he wont be paid if I dont come in but its not my fault they made these issues and they didnt submit the contract. The trailer was a different deal to make it right but they didnt make it right they made it worse.

On 07/31/2024 I called this company and asked if they could order me a brush guard for my truck. They advised that they could and would need me to to pay half of the total at that time. I agreed and paid it. On Friday August 9, 2024, I had an appointment with them and had them to install the brush guard on my truck. When they were finished, I picked up my truck I glanced over it quickly due to needing to get somewhere and I didn't notice anything. Once I got home I looked the brush guard over better and then I noticed that there was an issue with the brush guard. On the top of the brush guard, it appears to have been dropped or it may of came that way from the company. I called and talked to them they advised that they didn't drop it and they inspected it and there was nothing wrong with it. I do have pictures of the damage. I am just wanting to get it replaced or at the least some money taken off from the damage. It is a new brush guard and it seems like they are not willing to work with me to come to a solution with this.

I spoke with representatives of Leonard in early April 2024 regarding the needs for an exterior building, I explained to them the type of building I wanted and the potential problems that could be encountered with the installation. On two separate occasions representatives of Leonard visited the site the building was to be installed, they continued to tell me they thought the building could be installed as requested. On or around 5/3/24 I received what I thought was an agreement between myself, Leonard and the building manufacturer (document attached) I noted and identified a few items in red and returned the document to Leonard via email on 5/3/24 along with a check for down payment in the amount of $1,317.60 With a substantial delay I received a revised contract on or around 6/11/24, there were several items within the contract that were not in line with our original agreement, I visited the local ******* operations, spoke with the manager ***************************** and told him I thought it was in the best interest of both parties if I cancel the building order. He told me I should receive a refund check for my down payment with ***** working days, this was on 6/15/24. To date I still have not been refunded.

I purchased a new Leer Cap from Leonard Truck Accessories. The cap leaks from the third brake light and the brake light does not work. In addition the components inside the cap are all rusted and need to be replaced.

The original invoice was dated 5/10/2023.  I do not have the date that the unit was installed but it was around July 2023.  The warranty is for life and I first contacted the seller (****** from Leonards in ********, **) in December of 2023.  ****** said he would order the parts and contact me when they arrived.  ****** never contacted me and I made numerous calls to find out when the parts would be in during the past 6 months.  ******'s manager (*********************) is saying that the parts have been ordered but they do not know when they will arrive. I purchased a high quality new 10x16 Leonard Shed on June 7, 2019 for $3936.50 order # ******* with a 7 year warranty on the entire building except for the paint or stain. When the roof started to blow off April 9, 2024, I called the ************, ******** store where I bought it. I found out the warranty was still in effect. I was told to climb up there with a tarp to cover the roof myself. I was unable to afford a tarp large enough and tie it down. According to the local hardware store, a tarp would shred to pieces anyway from sharp metal. After the roof blew off, I texted Ruckersville store with photos of the exposed plywood roof. After waiting for someone to come and repair it, the inside got flooded numerous times, putting the floor at risk for warping. I used a heater to dry out the inside.Their warranty says Repair costs for service calls that do not involve defects in material or workmanship will be the sole responsibility of the owner. IS THE **** FLYING OFF THE TOP CONSIDERED NORMAL OR DEFECTIVE? *** arrived May 7 after four weeks to patch the roof. I was then told they will charge me if they have to keep coming out and that it would be cheaper for me to hire my own roofer because the plywood is wet and it needs to dry out. It will create mold if the metal material is put back on. Apparently the wet plywood, weather, and trips needed to make repairs were my problem in addition to a warped floor and earwig bugs getting inside.Knowing now of the lack of integrity, deceptive warranty, shoddy workmanship, no underlayment, screws with no bolts to anchor them, and that repair trips was a concern, I definitely would not have bought the item in the first place. I am also very sorry Leonard Shed stiffed me, frustration that they dont care about their customers, or the quality of their product, or honoring their own warranty. Im requesting reimbursement by Leonard Shed for $300 I paid to hire a roofer to repair my shed that was still under warranty.

I had purchased a cargo trailer from Leonards trailer in morehead city nc I had spoken to the manager there that was on site and I had clearly explain to him for the purpose of me buying the trailer is because I wanted to fit my 60 inch deck lawnmower into the trailer ********* had told me that my mower would fit into the trailer with no issues at all. So I had went ahead and purchased the cargo trailer size 6x12 and brought it home and when I gotten it home my mower wouldnt clear the beginning of the rear of the trailer so i immediately call the store and spoken to manager and telling him that the mower wouldnt fit he then stated to me let him make some phone calls and he would get right back with me which he never did so I waited 3 days go by and I had call the store again spoken to the manager again about my inquiry he tells me that his store was full of customers Ill call you back at this point I was getting frustrated knowing now I have no use for the ************************************************************************* let see if I can found you a bigger one that would fit which might cost a little more I would of been find with that but he never call me back or anything Im to the point of returning the trailer and asking for a full refund or filing a complaint against the business. Please help me out in any kind of way and I sure hope you understand my complaint to you . Im really looking forward and hearing back from someone soon.

I was in your shop in ****** WV back on March 13. I outright purchased a 10 x 12 metal shed that had some damage occur during shipment to your ****** location. The shed was delivered the following day to my house, March 14th with the intent of having repairs made at my home. I was informed that the repairs would be scheduled and that someone would come to my location to fix the damage to the side rails, roof and whatever other damage there was prior to it being delivered to your ****** office. Your delivery driver *****(very nice and professional) as well as the salesman informed me that the repairs were supposed to be made at my location and would be scheduled as soon as possible. I have yet to hear from anyone regarding any repairs over a month later and I do not feel that this was a good purchase on my part as I spent close to $5,000 for the shed and wooden ramp. The door is very difficult to open and the locking mechanism also doesnt seem to match up well as I have to fight to close the latch and lock the door. I do not feel as if Leonard has done right by me considering a few months prior, I also purchased a 12 x 20 building. I hope this is not how all of your repeat customers are treated. I hope to hear from someone soon so we can get this resolved and taken care of. If there is an option to return the building, I would also pursue that option as well as this has been a terrible experience and Im not sure I would do business again with Leonard or be able to recommend your services to anyone. Thank you for your time!! ********************* ************************************* ************
