I took my RV to L&A south on 7/18/22 with a list of things i wanted checked and or repaired. #1 check brakes - feels like power brakes not working hard to press down brake pedal #2 change oil and check belts and hoses #3 check front suspension - clunking sound on passenger side sounds to me like a bad ball joint? #4 give a good look over - getting ready to take a trip The shop called me 7/23 and said it was ready, when I went to pick it up all that was done was the oil change. I spoke with Randy the shop manager, and he took it for a ride when he came back he said he felt the brakes and heard the clunk in front. He said another mechanic did the work, if I could leave it he would work on it the following week. I told him that was fine I just wanted the vehicle to be safe. The shop called me sometime the next week and said the front shocks were bad and the brake booster was not working, I told them these parts were new and probably had less then 10 miles on them they said they may be defective. I told the shop if they needed to change them save the old ones I have a receipt and the box I will return them for a refund. I picked up my RV they told me they did not have to change the brake booster it was a bad master cylinder, they changed the front shock absorbers, and then changed lower ball joints. I asked again for the old parts so I can return them. after waiting for at least 30 minutes I was told we cant find them right now we will call you when we find them. Two more trips back to L&A south and waiting no parts same story we will call you. I was charged 94.37 for each shock 188.74 for the pair. I said I should not be out this money I asked from the beginning if the shocks need to be changed I want the old ones so I can return them. I feel I should be refunded the cost of the new shock absorbers since the old ones were not returned to me, and I was unable to return them to the auto parts store for a refund.

Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2022/09/06) */ This matter was resolved with the customer by locating his old parts for him to be able to return. Tech was out with Covid and wasn't able to locate parts, we had to wait for him to return to be able to have him locate.
