I purchase quartz countertops and glass tile (plus installation) from this company - $3927.50 for countertops and $1842.04 for glass tile. To provide a little background the company sent a person to measure the areas in my kitchen twice to be sure the measurements were correct. After the countertop was installed today I was asked to inspect it. I noticed at that time that part of the countertop was hanging over and extending beyond the island front on one side (left side) of the island but was flush against wall and walls on all other areas of the countertop. The installer called the store to discuss. Shortly later I received a call from Amanda who went on to tell me that it was my fault that I did not tell the measurer that the countertop should be flush on both sides and that it would cost me an additional $795 for them to correct the problem. I explained to her that the measurer told me that the countertop would extend the length of the island not beyond the island and that I hired them as they are the professionals. I also pointed out that my old countertop was flush and that it was going to be different (flush on one side and not flush on the other) then that is a conversation that the measurer should have had with me as I am the customer and they are the professionals. I was also told that if they removed the countertop they do not know when they could get it replaced and that in the meantime I would have to go without a island countertop which means I cannot use my sink or dishwasher. I was extremely disappointed that they would hold me at fault. And charge me additional to make the repair.
