On 2/27/23 we had a wind storm that caused damage to my house. I submitted a claim to my insurance. An appraiser came to see the damage and make an estimate of cost of repairs. I received the replacement cost value breakdown in the mail. The amount less depreciation is not enough to cover the damages. I have uploaded an estimate for the repairs that I obtained by a very reliable company in town (H&B Siding). The quote includes the repair of the front and rear of the house only, it does not include the repair of the damage of the slate roof. When I spoke to ***** at Capstone about this she suggested I find another contractor that would be willing to complete the job for the amount they are willing to give me for the claim. This is impossible. I have attached pictures of all the damage, these repairs cannot be fixed for the $2950 ($3950 minus my deductible). I am very frustrated and discouraged with this company. I have been insured by them since 2018 and this is my first claim. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay for all the repairs out of pocket. That is what insurance is for, I pay every month to be covered and the first time I have a claim they underestimate the damage and now I can't afford to have the repairs fixed. I feel the estimate completed by Capstone is unrealistic. It has almost been 3 months since the damage was done, I would like assistance in coming to an agreement on this matter so I can move forward with repairs.
