On 11/26/2022 I purchased a shipping service pre-paid shipping label for an outgoing and return service. The recipient of the package lost the pre-paid return label. Therefore that label created was never scanned or used. I originally asked could I have the return label just reprinted and I will mail the new label to the recipient to use. I was told at the store (1-9-2023) yes, they see the label was never used , but they can’t reprint one for whatever round about reason. Blaming “the system.” I then ask for a refund to then create and purchase a new return label with the exact same information. They also say no they can’t do that either because of the system not allowing it. I know this to be a lie because I have had the same exact store email me a new return label for a similar issue previously on 11/23/2022 at 3:05pm for a separate shipping label. I was instructed to call UPS’s customer service hotline to see what they could do. 1/9/2023 I call UPS 4 times on 1-10-2023 to get this issue resolved. Spend hours on the phone with them. They inform me that since it was purchased in the store they have to refund me the money. So this leads me to think that this system in place at Corporate UPS and store training is solely to misdirect customers with misinformation so that they get fed up and quit trying to get their refund. There is no way I am the first person of this giant International Company to ask for a refund of a return shipment that was never processed. I feel as if my concerns and complaint was not taken seriously at the location or customer service. It is absolutely unacceptable to have a customer spend hours on a refund for a service that was never used by the company. To note I never wanted a refund in the beginning just another label created, but after this extremely unpleasant ordeal I want my money back.
