On 2/26/2024 I purchased a used 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle from Tobacco Road H.D. After leaving the dealership I soon noticed an issue with the audio speakers which are part of the standard equipment on my particular model.(FLHTCU) I immediately contacted the sales manager and was instructed to return my motorcycle the following day to have repairs made. Repairs were made at no cost to me and I was grateful towards ******(Service Manager) for making sure this issue was taken care of in a timely manner. Unfortunately, a more serious issue has also been discovered with oil leakage from the oil cooler. Its obvious to me that this particular issue has been like this for quite some time due to the accumulation of oil and road grime in the area of where the oil cooler is mounted. I actually discovered this problem as I was cleaning the bike. I was somewhat reluctant to initiate further contact with this above mentioned dealership but did so anyway simply because at this point the only reasonable conclusion I can think of is that this motorcycle could not have received the attention which should have been given coming from such a reputable dealership. The Service Manager himself even expressed his own disappointment with the issue concerning my speakers being overlooked upon an inspection which I would think should have occurred before this unit was placed up for sale. One more concerning issue on top of this is the brake pads. According to a service report I myself requested, new rotors were installed on the bike but new pads werent. As a motorcycle mechanic myself I was taught many years ago that when changing rotors it is common practice to also replace worn brake pads. This service was simply neglected if indeed new rotors were put on the bike. I find it extremely disappointing that the measure of excellence that most Harley Davidson dealerships typically promote, in the case of the motorcycle I just recently purchased, this dealership fell way short. I have made attempts to reach out but no responses thus far. I even emailed the General Manager but no response either. I would ask that the staff honor my request to have these issues addressed at no cost to me as a loyal customer dating back many years.
