I was overcharged for parking at an event in *******, ** and was not given an option for a receipt or to pay with cash. (I tried to pay cash). Parking was posted for $15.00 and I was charged $40.00. I spoke with the company and they told me a refund was approved and a check would be mailed out to me. After several weeks, I have yet to receive the check and a follow up phone call was made. I spoke with a representative, and he confirmed that the refund was approved but to quote him our finance department *****. I requested to speak with a supervisor about the matter and was given a name and phone number. I left a voice message but have yet to receive any further correspondence. The event was 12/9/2023 and the refund was supposed to have been approved 12/19/2023. At the moment I am still waiting.

    Hello ****,

We sincerely apologize that you were charged an incorrect event parking amount. The attendant charged you the bus rate by accident. You should have been offered the option to scan the ** code on the unit for a receipt. This feels like one of those situations where everything that could go wrong, did. The situation further devolved with a refunding error. It looks like we processed the refund on 1/23 and the refund was confirmed received by you on 1/26.

****, again we apologize. We know your goal was to have an enjoyable evening of high school football, not to deal with a less-than-acceptable parking experience. We hope the game was great and that we can provide a seamless parking experience next time.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know what happened. We truly take internal review action when we receive these.

    Kind regards,

    The Car Park

I received a parking ticket in the mail 10 days after the date posted on the ticket. This parking ticket stated that I had failed to pay the parking fee required for the deck and the violation fee comes out to $82. There was no breakdown of the charges and the "picture" on the invoice was blacked out and unclear. I called the number under the appeals, since the ticket stated the parking company has "the exclusive authority to review and resolve all disputes concerning the notice." The lady I spoke to "*******." was very rude in telling me I can email my dispute, but that all it will do is knock $20 off my ticket and I'm better off just paying. I asked her to send me the photo of the arms and the postage signage, as I looked for them when I parked and couldn't see them. The picture sent was still unclear, very small, and there were no arms or booths on the parking deck to pay. She told me the only way I could've paid was from an app and then she informed me if I fail to pay, they can come find my car and boot it at anytime. In addition, the ticket has the wrong name on it, but correct mailing address and upon informing her of this, I was told "I still have all you information. Your middle name is ***, your house number is ***, and I now have your phone number. and email" This is a very alarming and unprofessional way to interact. When I asked to speak to a manager, she told me she was the manager and there's no one else to discuss it with. We finished the call with her stating that calling to dispute only means she owes me a conversation and not that the fee is waved. My response was, "I'm not asking you to wave it. I'm happy to pay the parking fee, but not an exorbitant and unnecessary violation fee." This Company not only is charging absurdly exorbitant parking fees, but also rudely making threats and touting the use of personal information against callers who appeal their charges.

On November 20, 2023, I parked in a private parking garage and went through all the prompts on my phone to make the payment. I thought everything went through until I received a letter stating the payment was not made. I parked at the parking garage at 214 S Salisbury and followed the directions at the exit to pay. I then added time to my parking using the text message sent to me by the garage. A month later I got a notice to pay $82 because I didnt pay for parking. I sent the confirmation email for payment because they claim they cant view payments made, even though the plate number needs to be input with the payment information at time of purchase. They decreased my fine but did not remove it even though they had cameras showing me leaving before my extended time was up, since it was after my initial time paid. I had already paid for extended time through the text and got confirmation my payment went through by email and text and my credit card company. I have now paid for this parking as multiples of the time I used due to them not removing the fine they sent. Even in following the directions on the sign at the exit exactly, they send fines and then send it to collections. They use deceptive and abusive business practices.

I paid to Park at one of their lots today. I waited to leave my car until I had confirmation that my payment had gone through. I was gone less time than I paid for. However, their employee wasted their company time and money issuing me a parking violation stating that I had not paid even though I have confirmation in writing that I did pay. Therefore, I want an apology and see no reason for paying a penny towards a violation when all of my documentation shows I had very clearly paid for their parking and never exceeded the time I paid for.

I went to a concert on August 3,2022 at the ******** ******** ****** in Asheville, NC. I parked in a CarPark lot. I tried to pay for my space via text as the sign stated but it did not work. It said no parking was available at the time - I tried to call the company for help , but all I got was a recording but then another couple told me to scan the bar -that’s how they were able to pay. I did so and put my credit card information in and it said for 4 hrs and 42 min cause parking ended at midnight that I would be charged $15.50. I screenshot my pmt. When I came back after the concert about 11 pm I had a citation on my windshield from Car Park for $50 for non-payment . I tried to dispute the charge on their website but when I put the citation number in the site froze and also when I tried putting my license plate number on the form instead it also froze up. I attempted several times before giving up and contacting the better business bureau to resolve this problem.

After speaking to our GM *****, he informed me the two of you spoke and he took care of the charge and deleted the ticket so you have nothing to pay. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope this solved your issue. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with. Have a wonderful weekend.

The parking company displays their “park here” board directly next to a pay terminal. When a patron attempts to pay at the terminal on a weekend it says no charges are due because weekend parking is free. Within 10 mins of having parked there I was ticketed for the reason of “non-payment”. I talked to 2 other patrons that were wrongfully ticketed for the exact same reason. The owner doesn’t have a pay terminal on the entire lot although the “park here sign” is physically appended via chain to the pay terminal displayed in the photo. The company signs are all mounted where patrons park so when you leave the lot the only signage you see for confirmation on where to pay is literally physically appended to the pay terminal that says payment isn’t required. It’s a purposefully deceptive form of parking violation manipulation. If you review the tape of the terminal you will find multiple instances today alone of patrons attempting to pay because of this business’ bad practices. I think the company should refund patrons of charges retroactively and hereafter until alternative payment solutions ie: a pay terminal are installed. The company should be required to remedy this situation. On a previous occasion, I received a ticket from the company and was unaware of a ticket received. Email correspondence stating if payment wasn’t made that the charge was going to be increased to the maximum allowed charge was sent the day the fee was increased. This nullified any opportunity for an attempt to communicate with the business in regards to the alleged offense. All in all, this business takes deliberate action to rack up charges and punish patrons. They should not be allowed to continue to operate in this fashion.

    Mr. *******,

Thank you for reach out about your concerns. Upon review we notice the photo you attached included the meter for street parking, as noted on the machine in the photo. We did however, take your concerns to our team and they adjusted the signs for our lot in hopes they will provide better clarification. Attached are photos of the new sign placement. We hope this helps.

    Thank you,

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Your stance is that a label maker label that is clearly peeling off the street marking meter is sufficient to notify a person that they’re trying to pay in the wrong place . If you review the footage it’s abundantly clear I was prepared to pay to park when I approached that meter. Mistaken by poor marking. Within 8 mins of arrival you ticketed me 6x the cost of multi-hour parking. If you worked to provide a service for people as opposed to lining your own pockets by deliberately running up fees on unknowing patrons I’d have more thanks for your changing a sign location (I spoke with multiple people on premise who were ticketed for the EXACT same reason. That you will see in footage from later in the day as well. You may have remedied the sign, but it doesn’t change the fact that you don’t have a pay terminal anywhere on the property. I won’t pull my BBB complaint at this time. Put in a pay terminal like every other lot in Raleigh to eliminate your deliberate confusion.

    Sincerely,

    ****
