On Saturday, April 12, unlimited tow truck arrived in front of our house while we were actively unloading a truck. I had briefly stepped inside to use the restroom while my partner, continued unloading. As soon as I returned, we began heading back outside when we noticed your driver was already in the process of towing our vehicle. The truck had not yet been lifted, and we immediately attempted to resolve the situation. When my boyfriend mistakenly referred to your company as Ultimate Recovery instead of Unlimited Recovery , the driver mocked him loudly in front of our neighbors, who were present and confirmed we had just arrived and were unloading. This behavior was unprofessional and inappropriate. When I offered to pay the fee in order to prevent the tow, as we were using my father's vehicle for a time-sensitive furniture delivery. The driver accepted payment but extended the tap device toward me in an unusual manner and failed to provide a receipt, which is a violation according to your website. As stated online I called immediately and was told to call Monday. Immediately after, he rapidly backed down the street in the dark without his lights on, which posed a serious safety risk to the neighborhood. This area is frequented by children biking and skating, especially in the evening hours.Further, the driver made an inappropriate and uncalled-for comment, stating, It looks like you can afford the tow, which I found highly offensive. Later, while we were walking our dogsa routine we follow dailyhe confronted my boyfriend again and told him to "go home," implying we didnt belong in our own neighborhood. This entire experience was distressing, unprofessional, and potentially dangerous. I strongly believe that no community would be comfortable working with a company that permits such behavior from its employees.

On April 9th, at approximately 10:11 PM, my vehicle was reportedly booted at Campus Edge Apartments by a towing company operating under two separate business names. While the signage posted throughout the apartment complex identifies the company as Unlimited Recovery, all paperwork and the invoice I received list the company as Integrity Towing. This discrepancy raises concerns about transparency and business practices.Between 10:20 and 10:30 PM that same evening, I returned to my vehicle and placed a valid parking pass clearly on the dashboard. The pass was valid through April 11th at 12:00 PM. It was prominently displayed and easily visible through the windshield, such that even a brief inspection should have revealed it. At the time, there was no indicationno signage, warning, or visible devicethat my vehicle had been immobilized, and I was unaware that it had been booted. The following morning, I discovered that my car had been towed. When I requested to retrieve personal property from my vehicle or visually inspect it before payment, my request was denied. I was told that no access to the vehicle was permitted until full payment was made. As a result, I was forced to pay $260.I also asked for documentation justifying the immobilization and towing of my vehicle. My request was denied, and the only information provided was the following: the vehicle was booted at 10:11 PM, towed to the lot by 11:07 PM, and reported to the police at 11:13 ***** appears that the vehicle was intentionally towed prior to midnight, presumably to apply an additional $45 storage fee. Had I attempted to retrieve the vehicle that night, I would have also been subject to a $50 after-hours fee. These practices seem predatory and financially exploitative.

Dear BBB,I am writing to formally file a complaint against Unlimited Recovery regarding an extremely frustrating and predatory towing experience. On [date of incident], my vehicle was towed from the Publix parking deck in *******, and I was charged an outrageous $265 fee to retrieve itdespite the towing lot being only 4 miles away.Upon contacting Unlimited Recovery to request a full or partial refund, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful service. They justified the tow by claiming that "signage was posted everywhere." However, this is completely false. I entered the parking deck through a side entrance, where no visible signs warned against parking restrictions. I, like many others, returned to find my vehicle towed with no clear indication that this could ********* is evident that this company operates in a predatory manner, taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. A simple warning or visible signage at all entrances would prevent incidents like this, but it seems Unlimited Recovery profits from deception rather than *************** make matters worse, after researching the company, I found numerous complaints detailing similar experiences. This only solidifies my belief that this is not an isolated incident but rather a pattern of unethical business practices. It is no surprise that this company is being bought outits reputation is already in shambles.I am requesting at least a partial refund for the excessive and unjustified charge. I also urge the BBB to investigate this business for its questionable practices and failure to properly inform ************ one should have to go through this kind of ordeal, and I sincerely hope this complaint contributes to holding Unlimited Recovery accountable.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Sincerely,****** *****

I had a valid parking spot in front of Publix where I had recently shopped. The sign states no overnight parking and no parking over 2 hours. I parked sometime around 10:40 p.m. and made a quick visit into the publix. LESS THAN TWO HOURS LATER, around 11:50, I returned to find my car was being towed at the top of the deck. It being late at night I simply fade the fee to remove my car but this was a valid parking spot and I felt threatened by the operator to pursue conversation further. The sign states know overnight parking and 11:50 p.m. after 10:40 is not overnight parking. Please contact me to arrange a refund of the $ 215 as this was valid parking for the business I visited and not overnight and not over 2 hours. I would also recommend relabeling the sign for clarity and retraining towing operators on non-threatening conversation. I was very close to calling the police the supervise the interaction due to the hostility received.

Dear Mr. ******************** you for reaching out regarding your experience. We take all feedback seriously and appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation.

As a private property impound towing company, our role is to enforce the parking policies set forth by the property owners and businesses we serve. In this case, ****** has established a "No Overnight Parking" policy, which our company is contracted to enforce.

After reviewing our records, including timestamped photo documentation, we would like to clarify the following:

Enforcement of Publixs Parking Policy: The policy in place at Publix states that overnight parking is not allowed. The store closes at 10:00 PM, and vehicles remaining in the lot past this time without authorization are considered in violation of the parking restrictions. Your vehicle was documented in the lot after 12:00 AM, which is two hours after the store had closed and into the next calendar day.

Towing Protocol & Fee: At the time our tow truck operator began enforcement, your vehicle was already in violation of the no overnight parking policy. To avoid a full tow, you were given the option of paying the standard tow release fee of $215.00, which is in accordance with our contract and local regulations.

Operator Conduct: We take concerns regarding customer interactions seriously and expect professionalism from all employees. While our operators primary role is to enforce the propertys parking rules, they are trained to do so respectfully. If you felt uncomfortable during the interaction, we sincerely apologize for any distress. However, our records indicate that the operator followed proper procedures, and there is no indication of inappropriate conduct.

Signage Clarity: The current signage meets the requirements established by the property owner and clearly states the parking restrictions, including the no overnight parking policy. While we understand your perspective, overnight refers to any time after store hours and into the next day, not solely based on a two-hour time frame.

Given the documentation and adherence to Publixs parking policy, we are unable to provide a refund for the tow release fee.

On December 23, 2024 around 11:00pm I stopped by Indigo Apts in *********** to drop something off to a friend. I see 2 men, one older white guy and a young black guy in the process of towing someone elses vehicle in a handicap spot. They watch me exit my vehicle and walk up to the third floor. Then as Im leaving ( about 1 min later), they start towing MY vehicle because I wasnt parked in a visitors spot. I asked where the sign was that says you must park in a visitors spot, they said its in the front of the complex (so no where in plain sight). Also, it is the middle of the night, there were so many other open spaces (both visitor and regular spots). There is NO assigned parking. There are just plain parking spaces and visitor parking spaces. There was no reason for them to even bother with my car other than to make a quick buck off of someone. When I came downstairs I tried to reason with the young black guy to unhook my car. He tells me he already hooked it up so there is nothing he can do. Then he finally tells me he will take it down. He gets in the tow truck and drives off. He drove my car 15 minutes away to their ****** location. I ended up paying $265 to get my car back for being in a parking spot for about a minute. These company has unfair and predatory practices It is obvious they pay their drivers commission so the drivers will do WHATEVER they can to make a buck off of honest hardworking people.

Some time during the night of November 19, 2024 my vehicle was towed from my complex. I have lived in this complex for 8 years, had a parking decal since they were issued about 6 years ago, and somehow magically according to this company I didn't have a decal. It simply isn't logical. The placards are hung from the rear view mirror so it isn't likely to fall or be damaged, right? My placard is nowhere in my car now. None of this adds up. I originally thought the car had been stolen then Raleigh police suggested I call the tow company because they apparently have a history of doing this to residents in my neighborhood. The man that answered when I called to confirm my car was there advised they had a picture of my car and "decal violation", according to him all I had was several tassels (I have 1 tassel). However, when I went to pick up my car and asked for a copy of the photo(s) I was told they don't take/supply photos. I have to pay to get my car but not allowed to see exactly why. It all seems very convenient. I have watched their drivers come and get cars. The placards are on the rear view. If not displayed why would they need to walk around the cars and touch door handles. The next time I see them out here doing this I will record. I can't help the feeling that my missing placard and tow are largely in part because I forgot to lock my car. My mother had a horrible dementia day, my 4yr old nephew had to be taken to the *** my mind was all over the place, and I do not recall locking my car. Oddly, I woke up thinking the worst thing would be my work laptop missing, instead I was missing an entire vehicle. $215 for a tow and $50 for a new placard, the driver could have at least left the decal on the floor or something. These people are shameless. Please see to it that the shady and unethical business practices are put to an end!!! I've lived here too long to all of the sudden not have a decal.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The ***resentative agreed to submit a refund for the charges after verifying that I am a resident of the complex. The location of my placard still remains a mystery to me.

The ***resentative found my ***ly to be slandering and asked that I not disrespect their jobs. I want to advise that I in no way intended to slander their practices. It was just strange to me that the one night I could not recall locking my car was the same night I was towed.

In conclusion, again I thank the *** for the refund and the well wishes for my family. I have started parking in the resident spaces again as of yesterday, in good faith that as long at I make sure my placard is displayed every time I leave my vehicle the vehicle will be there when I return.

Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ******

On Sept 15 around 4 am this company towed my car and charged me $265 to get it back. Now here is the problem: 1. My car was parked in a spot for the place I went to. 2. There was no sign that says no parking whether between some hours or after hours. 3. My friend who invited me over parked right beside me but his car was not towed. Only mine was. This is highway robbery and I am seeking to get my money back as well as interest charges on my credit card payment because again, to the best of my knowledge I parked in the right place while I went and did business with them.

My parking pass was clearly displayed in my vehicle, yet the company Unlimited Recovery aggressively towed my vehicle under false pretenses. I faced unwarranted charges and menacing threats over the phone simply because the parking pass had fallen from the rear view mirror and the towing operator failed to perform due diligence in its search.Unfortunately, I am just one of the numerous victims falling prey to this predatory towing company, Unlimited Recovery, operating in *******, **. As far as I have observed, they exhibit a pattern of unlawful and unethical practices which include unnecessary towing and booting of vehicles, causing distress and loss of wages. Illegitimate practices like these are not only distressing but egregiously harmful. Victims often face financial losses, emotional stress, and significant inconvenience due to these unwarranted and unjustified actions. These practices not only breach basic customer trust but also violate common ethical standards that reputable towing companies should uphold.Yet, the owner remains unapologetic and continues with these predatory practices to exploit vehicle owners. Within *******, many others share similar, painful experiences but feel helpless due to lack of regulatory enforcement against such disreputable businesses. We call upon local authorities to launch an investigation into Unlimited Recovery's practices and enforce punitive measures where necessary. This is essential to protect the rights of vehicle owners, alleviate the distress caused by such disreputable practices, and uphold the integrity of the towing industry. We, the undersigned, request authorities and other stakeholders to take immediate steps towards the resolution of this issue, and in instituting preventive measures against predatory towing practices in *******, **. I am being charged $300 by this scam of a company. They charge an extra $75 per night. I dont have the funds to retrieve my car. While I was in the office, they said that they had no installment plans available. Actually insane to steal my own car from me. The area I parked there was no sign to warn of towing. Its a retirement home that is right in downtown ******** main public road.
