In July of this year 2022 i received my insurance check because I was in a single car accident with my 2016 kia Sorento. I had a seizure and ran into a home. I was online looking for GMC Acadia's because that was what I wanted to get. This GMC caught my eye because it looked clean, and it didn't seem to have any outside physical scars and it wasn't that far from me.So I went to see it and my salesperson was ******* *****. It was originally online for 14000 but i told whoever the owner was on the phone that my check was only going to be what it was and i told him the amount and he said if I came that day that he would work with me. I got there and test drove, and it drove good to me and i complained to my salesman about a foot imprint in the third-row seat but i just kept that row folded downed because i woulded really be using that that much anyway. I ended up buying the GMC on July 15, 2022. My first point of contact with them about having problems with my GMC if I'm not mistaken was August 3, 2022. I called several times after that so i finally got them to see me and check my GMC and I was told it needed a transmission by my salesman. I told him that he knew that when he sold it to me, and he said it could have happened to anyone i said yea sure. So, he told me he would talk to the manager the same one that lowered the price for me about fixing it since i hadn't had it long. So eventually Mr. ***** called and said that the manager said No because it cost too much and because i signed knowing it didn't have a warranty. So, Mr. ***** told me if he was me to get one of those extended warranties for my GMC, I said OK thank you bye.

The vehicle in question was bought and listed with "AS-IS" no warranty of any kind. The price reflected the warranty of as-is. It was understood at the time of purchase and signed off by the customer. The customer, per the buyer’s guide is allowed to have the vehicle checked at any place of their choosing before the purchase. Customers are offered service contracts, but this one chose not to buy one from us. Instead, she decided to purchase an off-brand service contract from a third party and they have refused to fix it. This is a good example of why to buy a service contract from the selling dealer.
If Don Bulluck Chevrolet had guaranteed this vehicle the price would have reflected it and would have cost more. We have been in contact with her with different options, but she doesn’t want any of them.
We feel very sorry that she’s having issues, but we sold the vehicle to her without any miss understanding about it being sold as-is. Attached is a copy of the signed buyers guide. She not only signed it; she initialed the guide beside the “AS-IS” box.
I strongly suggest to everyone, buy a service contract when you buy a vehicle. I’ve seen brand new vehicles blow engines in the first 1,000 miles.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I honestly felt they sold me a vehicle they knew had a bad transmission. They were the one who told me it was the transmission in the first place. This should be under the lemon law or something. I understand I purchased the vehicle as is but my problem is they sold it to me knowing it had a transmission problem. They were so eager to get my money.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *****
