4.27.18 Barefoot sodded Zoysia in my ditch & seed the rest of the yard. In most of my yard, Zoysia never germinated, Bermuda did. I alerted them to this on 7.18.18 & 9.10.18, asking for someone to please come look at my lawn. 9.12.19 The first mention that Bermuda can be a problem in Zoysia lawns. On the same day, I let them know that Zoysia never germinated, Bermuda did. They did come out on this occasion. He left a voicemail that there was definitely Zoysia getting into my Bermuda lawn. That's how bad it was that he thought it was supposed to be a Bermuda lawn. I was then told that they could kill off the Bermuda and let the Zoysia fill in with 2 or 3 treatments at $50 each. After complaining about having to pay for these treatments, they offered to waive the fee. 6.22.20 The tech & I got an email "Please let customer know where you stand on the bermuda eradication treatments.  Need to get this done this year at NO CHARGE." This was because nobody was letting me know when the treatments were occurring. 8.3.20 I asked for someone to please come out and talk to me about how things were progressing, I was not seeing any improvement. He said it would be $85 to do so. I passed and just asked if the Bermuda eradication was ongoing. He said yes. 6.11.21 Emailed a video of my yard. At this point, I mentioned maybe just letting the Bermuda go and refunding me the difference between Zoysia & Bermuda. 6.14.21 They came out and decided that just killing off the Bermuda in some areas would not work, because there was not enough Zoysia to fill back in. They said they would ******** and reseed. They also said they were going to charge for the Bermuda killing treatments now. 9.24.21 Sodded a small section. 6.21.22 I emailed and let them know that after 4 years and $4636, my yard still looked bad. I gave an ultimatum to have my yard looking good by the end of the season or I would consult a lawyer. He said that I was disrespectful and canceled my services.

Horrible customer service and when confronted about only doing 1/2 the yard, lied about the reasons why. Its only our second application and when *** from Barefoot came to spray the trees and shrubs, he blocked our driveway so my husband had to ask him to move so he could take my son to school. At this point, he only sprayed the front and side, missing the back, and around the property line (as indicated in our file). Instead of finishing the job, he drives off after my husband is gone. I was watching. So I called the company and asked for him to come back to finish the job. I spoke directly to him and he told me that flowering shrubs are not sprayed. But what about the rest? He said that the formulas potency would kill the rest of the other plants. So what am I paying for? A manager came to walk my yard so I can be sure and more clear on what work is going to be done that I am paying for. Turns out, the potency of the formula is not an issue at all. When I asked for the service to be completed l, I was met with a warning that my shrubs and trees will die. Not reassurances, no apology, no customer service. When the service was finally completed, I came home to my yard littered with signs that indicated where they sprayed. 5+ signs is not only rude, condescending, but very unprofessional. I called to cancel the service that night.

    Barefoot Lawn Care Inc. Response

Response copied from our ****** Profile. *******, I have spoken to both Les and ***** who you have spoken too. We have been in this business for over 35 years and our success is not a result of providing poor service and or offering poor customer service. I believe our reviews speak to the company we have built. It is customary that our technicians start in the back lawn and work their way to the front and back to the truck. Sometimes people might miss us getting started. According to what I heard, you indicated to *****, my manager you were outside the whole time, when ***** confirmed that with you, you then said, no I watched from the window. Les did not treat the carolina ******* as it was in bloom and didn't want to affect the blooms with treatment. When your husband come out and said he had to leave, *** told him he was almost finished and only lacked the few plants along the left side of the driveway and quickly finished spraying them upon rolling up the hose and leaving because the job was completed at that point. You questioned our integrity saying we didn't do something that we did. In an effort to provide GOOD customer service, a field manager met with you promptly to discuss your concerns. We agreed to come back and spray again to achieve your satisfaction. In doing so, *** wanted to make sure you knew where he sprayed and where he didn't. There was nothing condescending or rude about it, but rather a way to illustrate what he had done since his first application was questioned. I apologize we could not achieve your satisfaction as you can see with our reviews, we do a great job of that each and every day. I feel we tried to do that by having a manager meet with you promptly and then even come back out and retreat. I wish you the very best moving forward with your lawn and landscape care.
