The dealer lied on Damage disclosures. I recently purchased 2 vehicles with "clear" titles. The *** informed me both have reconstructed Titles. The one title is even stamped. The dealer still denies the titles have brands and is refusing to help or even reply to my emailsCustomer Answer

I purchased a vehicle after being assured that the car had been inspected, had a test drive and was "turn key". The website assured me the car was inspected for "mechanical/safety". They touted that "We do not simply sell a vehicle we put time into each and every one of them. For which we hold a higher standard for our vehicles." When I received the vehicle it had obvious serious safety issue. I had the car repaired by a trusted mechanic. He found that the steering box was totally shot and had to be replace. One of the front shocks was not secured and could have fallen off during driving which would have caused an accident. The hard lines for the rear breaks didn't go all the way to the back. The gap was filled with a hose and clamp. This could have caused break failure and a fire. There were several other issues. The total cost of repair was $5,000. The car was delivered unsafe and the companies advertising was obviously false. I offered to return the car and pay shipping. I offered to trade it back to them and purchase a different car. I told them I would keep the car if they would pay for the $5,000 in repairs. The company was unwilling to accept any of my offers.I am seeking a refund of $5,000 to cover the cost of repairs.Initial Complaint

This business lied in their vehicle description. They sold a car under false pretenses for $25,000. They claimed that the Motor was built when in fact, it was a stock motor and it was completely worn out. Nowhere did they say that the vehicle would die as soon as you tried to drive it! And thats exactly what happens. The vehicle will start, idle, and then dies as soon as you try to push the accelerator. An additional $6000 was put into the vehicle trying to figure out why it wouldnt drive. Only to have professionals take a look at it and note that the motor was shot when it was sold to us. Had they been honest and said that the car was not drivable, we would definitely not have spent $25,000 on it. The salesman ***, lied about the sale. After attempting to contact the company, they refuse to respond to emails or phone calls.Customer Answer

I purchased a **** **** ****** motor vehicle available for sale by AP Vintage Motors LLC. I originally viewed the vehicle on eBay, and it provided the telephone to call the dealership. I called the dealership and spoke to a salesman named Ray T***********. I asked Ray many questions on the condition of the vehicle, including whether it ran, drove, and if there were any mechanical issues with it. I was told that it ran "great" and that everything worked as it should; though it was noted that it needed hood and roof paint, which I was aware of through the photos. I asked Ray to send me videos of the vehicle at a cold start and while driving, but never received the videos. After further assurances from Ray that the vehicle was "solid", had no body issues, ran and drove great, and there were no mechanical issues, I purchased the vehicle for $15,900 and a $399 dealer fee. Upon delivery of the vehicle there was undisclosed body damage on the passenger side; the vehicle had a difficult time starting; and it would "bog down" and nearly stall each time the gas pedal was pressed to accelerate. I immediately called Ray of AP Vintage Motors to report the problems (literally same day). AP Vintage Motors has blamed the shipper for the body damage, though the shipper has photos showing the damage existed already at the time of the pick up. The shipper has refused to pay for damage, and the Office Manager, Patty M*******, states that it's not an PA Motors problem to deal with. Additionally, AP Vintage Motors will not return or entertain my emails requesting a call with management to discuss the numerous issues found; including, the drivability issues, a non-working parking brake, speedometer, fuel gauge, etc. At this point I cannot get anyone at AP Vintage Motors to call me to discuss the situation. I am being left with a damaged an non-working vehicle that is going to cost thousands of dollars to fix. I would like a call back from AP Vintage Motors.Customer Answer

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. The vehicle was misrepresented and the dealership will not engage in a conversation with me, nor will they respond to my emails containing direct questions. I am at a loss as to next steps and what rights I have as the consumer who was taken advantage of.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 1*** ********** Bay Window Bus on 9/12/23 for $30,000. On their site, it reads: "All of the vehicles at our dealership go through a rigorous process before sale. Paint body and then detail. Mechanical/Safety inspection. We put time into each and every one of them. For which we hold a higher standard for our vehicles." According to their web site, my vehicle underwent a "rigorous process" with a mechanical/ safety inspection. This is what upsets me the most. I spent $30,000 on a vehicle, & I expected to be able to DRIVE it. The bus won't even start b/c the solenoid is bad. You have to crawl underneath & hit it with a hammer. Here is a list of all of the other issues that did not pass their rigorous inspections: * backup lights don't work * horn doesn't work * Tie rod assembly, stabilizer, bushing, drag link, steering damper needed replaced * New struts were needed * Solenoid/starter needed * Electric hookup (camping) doesn't work * License plate wiring is cut (no light) * Parking brake doesn't work * Camper pop-top isn't bolted down on one side * Rust has been patched with duct tape & painted over These are the main issues that I emailed to the company. They offered me $400. These issues should have been taken care of before selling it. I should not have to pay for these safety/mechanical problems. My salesman will not call me back. I have called multiple times (voicemail). I called the business, but no one will direct me to a supervisor. My salesman emailed me and said they will only communicate via email, but I deserve a human conversation explaining how they can justify selling me a "safe" vehicle in this condition for that amount of money. I feel that $5000 is a fair price adjustment, not $400. I deserve to SPEAK with someone who can address these issues. I deserve compensation for the money I've spent, & which will be spent, to get my vehicle in drivable, roadworthy condition. I'm not asking for perfection, but I do want to drive it SAFELY.Customer Answer

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I have left numerous messages & voicemails and no one will speak with me. Here is my original complaint, none of which has been addressed by the company:
I purchased a 1*** ********** Bay Window Bus on 9/12/23 for $30,000.
On their site, it reads:
"All of the vehicles at our dealership go through a rigorous process before sale. Paint body and then detail. Mechanical/Safety inspection. We put time into each and every one of them. For which we hold a higher standard for our vehicles."
According to their web site, my vehicle underwent a "rigorous process" with a mechanical/ safety inspection. This is what upsets me the most. I spent $30,000 on a vehicle, & I expected to be able to DRIVE it. The bus won't even start b/c the solenoid is bad. You have to crawl underneath & hit it with a hammer just to get it to start. It is still sitting in my driveway UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN because so much work needs to be done and I have to have a mechanic come to my house since it won't start. There may be even more issues that I haven't discovered because I haven't been able to drive it. This is unacceptable, especially for $30,000.
Here is a list of all of the other issues that did not pass their "rigorous inspections":
* backup lights don't work
* horn doesn't work
* Tie rod assembly, stabilizer, bushing, drag link, steering damper needed replaced
* New struts were needed
* Solenoid/starter needed
* Electric hookup (camping) doesn't work

AP Vintage Motors sold me a **** ** * advertised as a frame off restoration. The jeep is still sitting in my driveway and does not run. The differentials were full of water and mud, the frame was cut in half, the crossmember had been cut with a torch, fuel tank was held up by tubes off of a bicycle tire, i could go on but basically this vehicle is horrible. You cant even drive the vehicle because the tires rub when you make a turn, and it wont run. they offered me 850 dollars to fix what they deemed fixable, but it would take 35000 to 40000 thousand just to get it where it needs to be. Basically they wont step up and do the right thing. all i want is my money back. i would pay a restocking fee but they wont even entertain that. I'm not the only person this has happened to either by this company. They do not inspect their vehicles as stated in their add and there is no way they test drove the one they sold me two miles as advertised on their web sight . This company is crooked and needs to be shut down before they take advantage of someone else. Its really sad that people like this are able to stay in business. I don't need to upload any documents because they already have them, not that it helped anyInitial Complaint

On 2/3/2023 I purchased a 1978 **** **& from AP Vintage Motors. I did sign paperwork that said "Buy As Is". That said AP Vintage Motors claimed that there was NO oil leaks and that all their cars go thru a thorough exam and drive test. That is not possible since the condition of the vehicle that was shipped to me in California did NOT have 1. functioning Fuel Gage, 2. functioning Parking Brake, 3. functioning Odometer, functioning Fuel Tank vent and No Door Latches. I have attached email correspondences with the sale rep at AP Vintage Motors. Their only offer was $450 to cover the unacceptable issues they should have taken care of before selling the vehicle. What is not mentioned in my recent emails to Vintage Motors is the discovery that while trying to register the vehicle it was discovered that there was no functioning odometer. The speedometer was missing a control box switch which means there was never an operating odometer. Vintage Motors claim the vehicle had 25,000 miles. Clearly that was a lie. I ended up having to replace the transmission and many other mechanical issues. Total repair costs came to $11,000. They should reimburse me at least $1,400 for parts if not $3,400 for all those essential repairs. They offered $450 which i declined.Initial Complaint

I recently purchased a vehicle from AP Vintage motors. They falsified their adds and the title for the vehicle. For example. They stated the vehicle had 124,000 miles on it. Although, the odometer is not working. It can have double the amount of miles. Although, they stated that the vehicle was in perfect working order. The engine is not running in perfect condition. It has leaks and the brakes don't work. I tried returning the vehicle and they stated it is "AS IS". Is falsifying a vehicle title enough to return this vehicle? Thanks ***** ************Initial Complaint

I purchased a 75 Toyota FJ40 on 4/4/22 after a video was sent and several phone calls. The Company offered an option to return the vehicle in writing and also stated their mechanics had checked out the vehicle and driven it also. I was under the impression everything was in working order from my dealings with the Company. I pad and the FJ was to be shipped which was delayed a week due to a leaky radiator. Company stated they replaced the radiator and I received the vehicle the following week. The radiator was leaking upon receipt of the vehicle 4/15/22 and also would not start that evening. There radiator and other issues are on my ****** ********** quote was $3435 to make the FJ roadworthy. Company refused to pay and offered $300 to replace radiator when quote is $686.60 plus tax. Company also offered $100 for blinker repair and $100 for non working wipers. $500 was offered which is not acceptable. The FJ has safety concerns per ****** with steering and brake lies and non were disclosed in sales process. I asked to return the vehicle per their policy and was told I could not return the FJ and I had 1 day to decide to accept the $500. My wish is to return the vehicle and be reimbursed as this has been misrepresented and poorly handled.Customer Answer
