I contacted Affordable Roofing in Stoneville, NC to put on some vinyl siding and cover the windows and eaves with aluminum. Due to a previous contractor becoming ill with Covid and unable to complete the job, I had all the materials needed for the job, except for some sheet aluminum. Affordable Roofing's crew came out and began the job. I instantly noticed they were removing some of the aluminum that the previous contractor had put up so I called Robbie at Affordable Roofing and he told him I couldn't communicate with his workers since they spoke spanish. Robbie came out immediately and we walked around the house and I reinterated all that I wanted done. Besides the siding, I wanted a new chimney cap too. There were also some things that needed to be completed about the gutters: an L on the corner of the gutter on the front, a small transition downspout on the side of the house, the shingles trimed on a back gutter (they overhung the gutter), this gutter was also pitched incorectly so that water stood in it after a rain. A gutter on the front had the same problem. Robbie agreed to do all of this. He said he wanted to get a different crew to handle the non siding/aluminum work. Once the siding was complete Robbie called to receive his payment. He said the bill had been water smeared and he couldn't remember the total. I told him the amount and I paid it. He said he would send his crew up that evening to complete the work. They didn't show up. A big rain came and the gutter his crew put up overflowed; it was still pitched wrong where they put it back up incorrectly. I have made numerous calls. He has promised dates and never showed up and never called me to tell me why. After the 4th call he called me and said they came up and finished the job. They did nothing. I called him back and told him this and he did not call me back. I paid him 3970.00 on 6/3/22.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and I accept it.The next business day Robbie called and came to the house. He fixed everything that was incomplete. I inspected the work and was pleased. In retrospect, it was all a matter of misscommunication, mostly from spanish/english problems. Robbie did a good job and I appreciate him.
