Called for a garage door repairman. $75 show up fee, technician said that it would be over $500 for a fix to a 3 year old garage door that had a simple bent track. We said no, we would just pay the $75 estimate fee and go with someone else. MIRACULOUSLY, the technician calls the office and they can do it for $300. Halfway through the repair, the technician says that it will be another $150 to complete the repair. When we refused this bait and switch, they wrote on the invoice that they will not warranty the work because we would not go with the additional fee. This is a breach of the original contract of 300 for the repair. The remaining work should be completed for the original price.

Customers garage door was off track when the technician arrived.  Customer was informed that without getting the door on track and back in place that the cause of the issue could not be known.  Customer was told the door off track fee would be $300 to get it back in place and further inspection would take place after that.  Once the door was in place the technician informed the homeowner that the repair to ensure it did not happen again would be $150, but otherwise the door would go up and down in its current state but likely to happen again if the root cause was not corrected. The general manager spoke with the customer and the confusion about what the $300 cost covered was explained. They then agreed to have a technician return to his home on 9/15/23 to reevaluate the door and complete any repairs to make sure the issue doesn't happen again, and this will be done at no additional cost to the customer.
