We purchased a vehicle from the dealer a few weeks and have been able to drive it. The day after we drove it home, big puddles of fluids under the vehicle. it was leaking everything except brake fluid. on the ride home we noticed it had no heat, checked the overflow tank..bone dry. we tried reaching out to the dealer for help.....no luck. so we took the car to a trusted mechanic and was told it needs $3,400 worth of work and the rear brakes are so bad it should never been sold this way. called the warranty company to see about covering the repairs... guess what? the "better" warranty they talked us into buying...doesn't cover any of it...,what a nightmare...if your reading this... please stay way from these thieves.Bluewater Motorsports

We are very disappointed by this review, especially given the facts of the situation. After your purchase, you contacted us with a concern, and we immediately stepped in and performed a goodwill repair at no costeven though the vehicle was sold as is. We did this to help and show that we stand behind our customers whenever *********** that time, we also specifically asked that you involve us with any future concerns or warranty-related issues so we could help facilitate the process. We were never contacted again after the initial repair. To now suggest we refused to help is simply false. We also want to note that pre-owned vehiclesespecially those around the $9,000 rangecan develop issues at any time, even while sitting on a lot. As much as we inspect every vehicle, we cannot predict the future. Thats why we offer extended warranties: to give our customers protection and peace of mind after the ******* call us thieves after we provided a repair at no charge is not only offensiveits a complete misrepresentation of how we do business. Weve been in business for over 35 years, and our reputation is built on honesty, transparency, and customer service. We stand behind our work, but we can only assist when were given the opportunityand when theres mutual respect.Review fromHannah S

I trusted the ****** reviews and bought a used 2017 Subaru Forester from BlueWater in November, high mileage but still under 100k, which came with a ****** report showing it had passed inspection earlier that year. I obviously should have had an inspection done on the lot prior to purchase- I know that now and will do so in the future. I expressed concerns over the long-term safety and costs of the vehicle as my finances were very tight, and was also sold a 2-year warranty which made me feel more secure. I was a little unsettled by the fact that almost all of my online paperwork and documents were missing information and signatures from the dealerships end, but I ignored this against my better judgement. The day after I drove the car off the lot, the tire pressure light came on. There were multiple nails in the tire. Two days later, a headlight went out. I expected some wear and tear, so I moved on. Within one week of bringing the car home, several warning lights came on related to the *** system. I had the car inspected and was told it was actually not in safe condition to drive due to interior damage. Multiple mechanics asked where I bought the car, as they were so shocked by its condition. After a series of visits to different mechanics/repair shops for second opinions, I ended up paying a total of $3,200 to replace rusted and missing parts, none of which was covered by my warranty, within a month of ownership JUST to make the car safe to drive. While I have communicated these frustrations to salesmen at BlueWater throughout the process, I have found it difficult to be taken seriously and frequently do not receive a response back. While I bought the car as is, I guess I cant say BlueWater did anything technically or legally wrong. However, it does appear based on Yelp reviews that this is a pattern with their vehicles. Just be cautious and dont get taken advantage of.Bluewater Motorsports

Thank you for your feedback. Were sorry to hear about the experience youve had and wish things had gone differently. After you purchased the Subaru Forester in November 2024, we recall speaking with you several times about your concerns. When you first reached out, we recommended a trusted local repair shop, as its not uncommon for manufacturer service departments to take an aggressive approach with pre-owned vehicles. Unfortunately, we later learned that repairs were made before a warranty claim was filed, which limits what the provider can cover since the process requires pre-authorization.We understand that dealing with unexpected issues on a used vehicle can be frustrating, especially when you're doing your best to make a careful decision. Its never our intention for a customer to feel unsupported, and were always happy to walk through warranty processes and service questions when given the opportunity. If there's anything still unresolved, were happy to help however we can. Thank you again for your business.Review fromDavid H

1 starAt first I was pleased with my purchase..I'm from ************ and they had me doing a Vin inspection once I got home and told me I had to se d it back to them for them to release the money I paid for my taxes plates and registration..My temp plate that they gave me expired because I kept calling and usually got a voicemail and never a return call after leaving a message..then I did get ahold of them and they said they sent my plates to me and was gonna send me the tracking number for fedex..First off why did they get my plates sent to them and then back to me in ************?? That's why my temp plate expired..I called multiple times asking for the tracking number for my plates, was told they would send it and never did..I've had my car for less than 5 weeks and from.the start when I filled up I would smell gas for days..I took it to a shop yesterday and the gas tank is gonna need replaced and it's $1100 because it's a *** plus I started getting a bad oil leak from the plug because when they changed the oil they must have over tightened the plug and stripped it out..looking at prob $2k to fix everything...the absolute worst experice I've had buying a vehicle..STAY AWAY ESPECIALLY IF YOURE OUT OF STATE BECAUSE YOULL GET A MIGRAINE FROM THESE PEOPLEReview fromChristopher E

1 star$9700 dollar in repair due to undisclosed damages to the vehicle. Called to resolve issue and was hung up on. Please stay away. Very shady business who buys cheap wrecked and broken vehicles, does minimal shoddy repairs and flips them. You will be left with a payment for vehicle, plus thousands in repair costs. Just read others reviews and it will give you sense of their dishonest sales practices.Review fromHugh W

1 starI purchased a vehicle on January 30, It's been 3 days.... Still waiting to see if they will provide me with a spare tire and ***** not present in the car. and replace the front tires, which had steel belts exposed through the rubber on the inside of the tires. ( I received a current PASSED inspection statement with the purchase. ) And was ( within 2 days) told by an authorized ******** inspection facility that the tires not only would never pass inspection, but where unsafe, and could put me and my children at risk of an accident. I have the car over the weekend, and will post a stronger and more positive review, if Blue water motorsports steps up to the plate. They spoon feed you good answers when you call them. But like everyone that spends their hard earned money, I need to see results.!!Review fromStacy W

1 starMy cousin bought a car from here, drove it less than 2 weeks and then it started overheating. So, after paying $5,500 for the car for it to only last him less than 14 days is absurd. They refused to help fix it and refused a refund. So do yourself a favor and go somewhere else because they will sell you a lemon and youll be right back where you started before only this time you wont have the money.Review fromLawrence C

1 starBought car at the end of June it needed 2 wheel sensors and the inspection sheet said it passed when it got to the tire part of the inspection. the tires needed to be replace which I had. to pay for one tire was a different brand tire. come to find out it needed 3 tire sensors which I had to pay for the 3rd one. so we get the car home the next morning there were 2 tires that were flat. called the dealer to inform them when we had them replaced that there were 2 hair line cracks in both wheels which would not hold air. so if the inspection was done im thinking this would have been fix . so we called the dealer and the owner wanted nothing to do with this issue. our sales person went to speak to him he told the sales person he wasn't going to fix this issue or compensate us for this issue waste nothing to do with it. so if my wife drove down the road and the rims came apart I think paying to get the rims fix would have been cheaper than the lawsuit. that he would have been sued for. of course in ************** all they have to do is and oil change. I'm not sure how you sleep at night knowing your sell some junk cars. not all of them are junk. also we test drove a few cars almost all of them. had issues that are not safe and road worthy. someone needs to look in these issues and according to what ive read there are many people who spend there hard earned money to rely on there sales people to sell them a safe car but not the case here so it seems . the one thing I will say is that they are extremely friendly it does make your car bring experience better than most dealers. other than that more junk cars than good ones. wondering just how many other poor people have been screwed.Review fromJuanica T

1 starI bought a car 3 days ago from those place. Initially I was very pleased with my purchase. I had worked with ******* for several days and finally made my selection. That day my son heard a noise coming from the car that I didn't hear while test driving. The next day I take the car to be examined. Find out that there's several things wrong with it that will cost me thousands of dollars to replace. I immediately call the dealership and my bank through whom I was financed. My sales agent was not in the office when I called. I could not come the following day to follow up on my complaint. Today which is my birthday I go up to the dealership to get this resolved. I asked for either repairs to be completed on the car or to be let out of the purchase. ******* was very amicable about getting an answer from the owner. I appreciate that he was listening to the issue and did not make me feel like I was stuck out of luck. He came back to let me know that they would let me out of the purchase which I was pleased to hear and started the process to reverse the transaction . The owner however proceeds to come into the office to tell me that they are reversing the transaction, that he does not want my business and to never come back. Initially, I had no idea who this person was talking to me as I'd never seen him before. But then it clicked as his words hit my ears. I was shocked by this behavior. This man was never apologetic about having sold me a car that was FULL of issues! While ******* was trying to finalize everything so I could leave, the owner CONTINUES to YELL at me and berate me IN FRONT OF HIS EMPLOYEES! I let him know it was okay for him to treat a customer like this. He asked me why didn't I contact them to resolve the issue before I contacted my bank to stop payment. I told him I did contact the office to resolve the issue and no one responded. I will NEVER EVER REFER ANYONE to this dealership. ******* was a great person to work with. the owner is a pure bully.Review fromJohnny M

1 starfinanced 2017 **** Egde driver side mirror was cracked and falling off was told it was already ordered to come in, same day I left my * passenger Headlight was out and realized alignment needed to be done on the vehicle, as well as no new battery put in the key fob informed ******* of these situations, also passenger side door molding came off while I was driving states they arent able to get that part fixed because i hit something if that was the case I wouldve heard. took my car to get the * mirror fixed & everything else only left with the mirror fixed assisted by ****. took my car to go an alignment, had to put additional piece on driver side front tire due to it being bent inward had states had minor damage to vehicle, falsely stating CarFax. Im sure HAS been wrecked check engine light comes in after leaving alignment now need 2 ignition coils replaced and stated there was nothing they could do, this happens with used vehicles all the time havent even had the vehicle 30 days with all these issues accumulating.
