BEWARE!Bought a 2016 VW Passat on 2/15/24. Went to drive car off lot and battery was dead. *****(the seller) had to jump start the car. He did replace battery the next day after battery continued to show signs of being drained. Tire pressure light came on immediately after driving off lot. After a week of driving vehicle, check oil light came on. Appointment was made at *************** to check why lights were on on 3/1. Oil was changed at that time and car was found to have an oil leak. At this time, both rear tires had to be replaced due to wire showing and alignment was done. During the following week, ABS, EPC, power steering light and airbag light began flashing on and off at times. Brought car back to *************** on 3/12 where diagnostics were performed and car was found to have a misfire in engine with rapid oil consumption. I called *********************** every day for a week and finally got a text response on 3/15 stating he received my voicemail. I attempted to call him ********************************************************************************************************************** away from his phone. I have yet to hear back from him. In the meantime, I contacted the extended warranty company and they have denied my claim to replace the engine stating this was a "pre-existing condition". I have not even made the first payment on this car and now I'm looking at having to spend $10,000 on a used engine when I didn't even pay that much for the car. Please do not buy from this business if you value your sanity.Oh, and they BLOCKED me on ********* What a classy company.

My son purchased a 2016 **** Fusion from Seasell in September 2023. The check engine light came on 3 days later and we were instructed by Seasell to take it to a shop that they work with. My son also purchased the extended warranty. The repair shop that we were referred to did not accept third party payments so we were on the hook for any repairs and had to seek a refund from the warranty company. Sounds easy right! Well, the warranty company denied the claim as pre-existing. So, he had to pay $2400 out of his pocket to have work completed on the head gasket. Fast forward a month or so later and the car breaks down again and it's trouble with the head gasket again at a tune of $3900. The warranty that he was advised to purchase would not honor the claim. Seasell has been made aware of these issues along the way and they have been nonresponsive ignoring emails and dodging phone calls or referring us to the warranty company that is no help. As of today, we have had to pay another repair bill in the amount of $1300 and the car still does not work. Both repair shops have stated that they basically sold us a lemon and they have documented their findings in writing. As a consumer, I understand that you are purchasing a used car but you expectation is not to pay the monthly car payment, purchase the warranty that will not honor any of the claims, and get no response from the seller. My son has essentially paid for the car that he has financed. He has not had the car for 6 months. This is horrible business practice and I will use every platform to advise consumers to stay away from the establishment. He has missed time away from work due to the mechanical breakdown of the vehicle. He has spent money on rental cars and as of today he is in possession of a car that is not working.

My son bought his first vehicle from them a few months back and the 2nd day after purchase he was on the side of the road because the truck would not start. We fixed that concern and a week later he was on the side of the road again with a different issue. SCARY FOR A PARENT! We then found out that there was an oil leak and looking at the bottom of the truck, there were rag wipe marks - we all know what that means - they put an oil thickener in the oil and wiped away the evidence. There was a rear main seal leak and oil pan gasket issue that was definitely known during before purchase. They also did some shady stuff with the paperwork. $4000 dollars later, we are still dealing with stuff including the truck being in the shop yet again today (4 times in two months). This was my 16-year-olds first time buying a truck, with his own money. STAY AWAY and don't waste your money. Enough of the "as is" junk - have some integrity people. ALSO, I was told I should have purchased a warranty; however, it was never offered at the time of purchase.

Hello. We hate to hear this kind of feedback from any of our clients we sell vehicles to. This vehicle was sold 'As Is" and a Service contract was declined by the customer at the time of purchase. There were no underlying issue with this vehicle at the time of purchase. I stated to the customer, you may want to purchase a Service contract when buying a truck with 170K miles on it, the client declined the right to purchse it. I really hate you're having these issues, trust me. I'm just hearing about this over 3 months after the date of purchase. We do have a signed 'As Is" agreement by both parties as well as a Waiver of Benefits form signed by both parties. My apologies once again.

I find it funny how this business seems to spend more time responding to bad reviews with things like, "we're a used car lot", "sold as is", etc instead of focusing on selling vehicles that work, and not selling a vehicle that has a bill of sale already. My son, who was in a horrible car accident, chose this place to buy a replacement vehicle. Since he can't currently drive because of his wreck (medical related) he was getting it for his fiance so she could have a dependable vehicle. However, after putting down a $3000 deposit 5 days ago, and then driving back down there (1.5 hr drive) yesterday to pay the remaining balance, we didn't see the car on the lot. We thought, ah, they probably have it in a different spot since it's been sold already. Then, the salesman that did all of that paperwork, including a bill of sale five days ago, couldn't find ANY of the paperwork! 15 minutes later, we learned that ***** (one of the two that constantly responds to negative reviews unprofessionally) had sold the car the same day my son put down the deposit! After the ****** reviews I've read about lemons from this used car sales lot, I guess it was a hidden blessing that it happened. I don't very often send out negative reviews because I know how they can affect a business (husband has a very successful & honest automotive shop with outstanding reviews on ******) but this place earned their one star any place I can put it. If I could leave negative stars, I would! Would NOT recommend to anyone! Stick with a dealership where they are held to higher standards. This place just seems to be about rolling them out no matter the disappointment that buyers may incur after purchasing. Not to mention possibly depositing money and receiving a bill of sale and then the car being sold right out from under you.

Hi *****,I apologize for your frustrations and issues with the vehicle you purchased almost 2 months ago. Being a ***** year old vehicle with ******* miles these unforseen problems can arise. Due to the fact that you are out of state, the salesman sent you a video of the vehicle and you had a person you knoow come by and look at it and there were no issues at the time. This is the first we have heard of these problems so we have not had a chance to address your concerns at all. Please contact ** directly before leaving a bad review on the internet.

I had an issue with my daughters car 3 hours after taking it off their lot. Blinking odometer on a vehicle indicates an electrical connectivity issue. $771 to fix from the dealership. Seasell auto will not help or make it right. Spoke to ***** several times and he refused to help. He said "car is sold as is." I understand if an issue happens a little while later I am on the hook for it. But they knew of this issue prior to us leaving the car lot with the car. And still chose to not help with the fixing of this issue. They chose to tell me its not their problem.

Unfortunately we do sell used cars that *** have issues that we are not aware of at the time of sale. If this was an issue before he purchased this vehicle and we were made aware of it before he signed his paperwork and finalized the purchase we would have tried to take it to our shop and had it looked at. We offer extended warranties on all of our vehicles sold due to problems that can arise on used vehicles, whether it is 3 hours after purchase or 3 years. I am very sorry for your issues that you are having with your vehicle now and hope you are able to understand that we cannot fix every problem with each vehicle that is sold or we would be out of business.

Bought a car 8 weeks ago from *************. The *** light came on and had I it checked. The wheel bearing assembly is rusted out therefore the *** sensor can not connect behind the wheel. Called and spoke with ***** thinking since its a safety issue he would make it right. He asked if I got the warranty and in response I was never offered one. Now I see why. As others have said they never offered a warranty. Stay away. Apparently their vehicles do not go through a complete inspection. This is a safety issue. Run from this dealership.

Unfortunately we do sell used cars that *** have issues that we are not aware of at the time of sale. We do our very best to have each vehicle ran through a rigorous overall inspection and address any safety or major issues before offering them for sale. However, in the event that an issue arises after the sale we do offer extended warranties on all of our vehicles sold to each and every customer. I am very sorry for your issues that you are having with your vehicle now and hope you are able to understand that we are not in the business of making used cars brand new, but selling used cars at the lowest prices around.
