Today I got a phone call from a friend saying he just got out of a s***** situation and was walking down the side of the road. I picked him up and took him to ******* so he could get some things and stopped at americinn to try to get him a room. I worked there for over a year so I knew there policy's pretty well and knew they accepted prepaid debit cards. I went in and instead of trying to pay for a room under my name, saying it was just gonna be me I told the truth. I told her the circumstance and that I was just trying to help a friend and get him a room. I told her it would be 1 person until his girlfriend got to town to pick him up and take him home. She proceeded to tell me that we looked sketchy. I asked her how? She said nothing. I said I have my ID My company credit card I can't use for this, and my debit. Card to prove I am who I say I am. She told me she didn't care she wasn't renting to us. I told her that I used to work here and I would like to speak to the Manager. She used to love me and told me if I ever need anything to call her. When I asked for her she told me I could come back at 11. I felt very judged obviously. It was a horrible experience. I didn't want to lie and sneak them in under my name I was trying to be honest but I guess our situation made her uncomfortable. I don't know if it had to do with the fact I had sweats and a Tshirt on but I haven't been feeling well. She took it upon herself to judge me based on my looks the moment I walked in the door. I was just trying to help this person and it back fired. Luckily his girlfriend met us in the ******* parking lot 4 hours later. (I was closer to him that's why I picked him up instead of her, so he was safe.) And he's now safe. I just need help from my community what do I do. Do I leave it be do I file a report what would you do?
